Two days after the explosion and subsequent emission of the toxic cloud from the Belman Waste Disposal Facility, the first of the Army"s decontamination units rolled in to town. Colonel Charlie Thorne, a trusted and highly qualified member of General Havers" medical staff had volunteered to lead the team that would make the first incursion into the devastated town and its surroundings. The sight that greeted the troops as their vehicles slowly made their way in to the heart of the devastated area was a grim one indeed.
