“Any idea why?” Todd asked, feeling left out of the conversation. He hadn"t had the opportunity to speak much and he felt like he should let the other two know he was still there.
“I know exactly why.” Lance walked over to a cupboard and took out another rat, placing it in the cage with the first one. “Now watch.”
The first rat moved toward the second, slowly. The other stared at it as it approached, not sure what to make of the situation. As soon as the first rodent was close enough, it lunged forward, mouth wide open, taking a huge chunk of fur and flesh from its victim, blood spilling out of its body at an alarming rate. But the attacker wasn"t satisfied yet. It took more chunks from the dying rat, swallowing both fur and meat until there was nothing left for it to take.
