#I would like to make it clear once again that I have no respect for anything to do with werewolves. As also stated in chapter 17, I am recreating the world of wolves and fantasy according to my imagination. Don't be surprised either here or in the chapters to come.
_ I still don't understand why we have to go back today, Ndeye complained.
_ For the umpteenth time, today is a very auspicious day for the pack bonding ceremony, Moha replied.
_ You've been enjoying these days we've spent most of the hours in the room, I see?
_ p*****t! It's not what you think!
_ What is it then?
_ It's that .... Forget it! (Starting to get out of the car)
_ Where are you going? The discussion isn't over (Holding her back)
_ Yes, it is. Unless you want us to miss our flight and the auspicious ceremony not take place.
_ Remind me why I agreed to fly with you on a normal flight instead of using the private jet.
_ Because that was my condition for agreeing to come back today (Winking at him).
_ Saying that I am the Supreme Alpha (In a low voice).
_ And I'm your Luna.
Come on.
With no other choice, Moha finally left the car to join Ndeye, with whom they entered the airport. As a little girl in front of a Christmas tree for the first time, Ndeye could not keep still for her first time in such a place. She immediately started wandering around the airport under the gaze of Moha, who was desperate but happy to see her so excited. He even had to intervene to make her stop her exploration and join him in time so that they would not miss their flight. And while they planned to take advantage of the flight to brief her a little on the course of the ceremony and avoid her being surprised by certain practices, she fell asleep as soon as the plane took off, exhausted from having slept little last night and having run around like a child. He smiled tenderly at her before taking off his jacket and covering her with it when he felt her get cold. As soon as he had finished doing this, she took his hand and laid her head on his shoulder. He watched over her until they arrived. Not having the heart to wake her up, he carried her downstairs to meet his Betas who had come to fetch them. They did not take them to his parents' house, however, but rather a little further on, to Moha's surprise. They explained to him that it was a gift from his parents who had wanted them to live their love in privacy. Moreover, in their absence, all their luggage had been moved into the house, which made him accept it, moved. They also let him know that everything was almost ready for the ceremony which would begin in three hours, when the moon would be visible in the sky, giving them a moment to rest, which Moha did not miss, a little tired.
Having woken up shortly after Moha had fallen asleep, Ndeye, not wanting to disturb him, had left the room only to find herself in an unfamiliar setting. It wasn't home and yet that hadn't stopped Moha from taking them there and quietly falling asleep. She didn't understand anything about it. And fortunately for her, Fa'Bintou arrived at the right moment to explain everything to her. She even helped her get ready very soberly without mentioning a word about the ceremony, convinced that Moha had already told her about it, adding to her stress without knowing it. When she was ready, she went to wake Moha who in turn prepared himself. The three of them got ready and went to the town square where the whole pack had gathered. It was not the crowd that frightened Ndeye, however, but the platform that had been prepared with a table on top of which lay a hollow vessel and a knife.
_ Don't tell me they'll want to see me cut with it and bleed to death! she thought.
_ Never. Even though it's true that you'll have to make a small cut in your hand so that a small amount of your blood can be collected!
_ What? What for?
_ Do you remember the pack bond I told you about once?
_ Yes.
_ Now that we've united and I've marked you, you need to be connected to the pack by integrating the pack bond before your mutation is complete.
_ That still doesn't explain why I have to cut myself.
_ All the pack members except me will take turns going up and cutting themselves so that their blood can be collected in the container. Finally, it will be your turn and then you will have to drink all the blood that the container will contain. Only then will you be bound to the whole pack.
_ Is it me or does that sound a bit too vampiric! I prefer to go another way. Having to feel the metallic taste of blood in my mouth!
_ Don't worry about it too much. I've been there, so I can assure you it's not that bad.
_ I'm going to trust you. But if things don't work out the way you say, I'll throw up blood on you, believe me.
Fortunately for Moha, everything went well and she had no trouble drinking the blood, contrary to her expectations. Only a few minutes later, she began to feel the effects of the particular drink she had just drunk. Taken aback by the many voices she suddenly began to hear, she fell to her knees, holding her head helplessly. Seeing her discomfort, Moha came towards her and he, having got down to her level, asked her to close her eyes and clear her head to feel better. Only she did the opposite, raising her head in a sudden movement that startled Moha. Her grey eyes had turned almost entirely white. She seemed to be in a trance and her fangs had lengthened, much like his. Her body must not have finished mutating yet and she was still far from her first transformation.
What was going on then?
Without even giving himself time to think too much about it, Moha, who had understood that something was wrong as well as everyone else present, tried to back away. Only, having done so without looking behind him to see where he was stepping, he stumbled and fell, spraining his right ankle. Ndeye, who had been looking at him since she had looked up, then started to walk towards him on all fours. It was as if she knew what was going to happen and was just waiting for it to happen, a remark that made Moha shudder before he started to back away, asking the others to intervene. No one came to his aid, unfortunately for him, absorbed by what was happening and Ndeye who was faster than him found herself on top of him quite quickly. She then helped him up to a sitting position and began to caress his face. He thought she was calming down but soon realized she wasn't when she dug her fangs into his neck. He screamed in surprise before feeling a sense of well-being, fullness, and happiness that made him realize what had just happened. Right there, in front of everyone, Ndeye had just marked him, in a rather crazy and unbelievable succession of events, while her mutation was far from complete.
_ Mine, she said, interrupting him in his thoughts before her eyes returned to their normal color and she fell on top of him in exhaustion.
