# I apologize for not making a use of personalization later in the chapter to narrate Ndeye's life in captivity, but it's just that I'm still struggling with personalization. Enjoy the read.
Standing outside the door of Moha's room, Ndeye, although dressed in her pajamas, was beginning to feel cold and regret having come here relying on Fa'Bintou's advice, all her courage having vanished. After a few minutes of immobility and indecision, she decided to turn back and try again. Only, she saw Ma'Khady coming dressed in a sexy nightie, even a little too sexy, which was enough to make her green with envy. Caught up in an impulse of audacity and courage, she retraced her steps to knock on the door.
After a few minutes of waiting, which seemed endless and which began to make Ndeye question her reaction, the door opened and Moha was standing there shirtless, with a towel in his hand, obviously surprised to see her. Captivated, for her part, by the unprecedented sight before her, Ndeye could not take her eyes off his body until he spoke up to taunt her.
_ I know I'm extremely beautiful, but it's still too much to devour me with your eyes. Touching it and even tasting it would be more advisable.
_ I......... I
Caught in flagrante delicto, Ndeye turned around and asked him in a small voice to go and get dressed, which he did, but not without laughing at her first. When he had finished, he found her so deep in thought that she was only aware of his presence when he put his hands on her shoulders. She then turned to face him before he invited her in, apologizing for making her wait to sit on his bed. He immediately noticed that she was shaking and clasped her hands to encourage her to jump in.
_ May I now ask why you wanted to see me?
_ I... Lately, I feel like we've been drifting apart. I feel like I'm losing you and I don't want that to happen. So I wanted us to start afresh and to do that I wanted to tell you about myself, my past at the hands of this monster so that there would be no more secrets between us.
_ Don't feel obliged to do it. I'll wait until you're ready.
_ No. I need to do it today before I can't.
_ Ndeye!
_ I'll just ask you to listen to me without interrupting.
_ Okay.
It all started twelve years ago, on December 24, 2565, a day that Ndeye will never forget in her life. On that Christmas Eve, as an innocent five-year-old girl, Ndeye was playing in front of their house while waiting for her parents to return from their trip. Tired of playing alone, however, she decided to go back inside the house when she heard a loud noise and turned around to see her parents being hit hard by a truck before the driver fled. She couldn't believe it and it was after a moment of immobility that she shakily walked towards her parents' bodies. And if her father was not breathing, she was pleasantly surprised to feel her mother's heart still beating. Her mother soon opened her eyes and gave her a faint smile when she saw her.
_ I'm going to get help, Ndeye said immediately, shaking her hand.
_ No. I don't have much time left.
_ Don't say that. You can't leave me, not even you.
_ Unfortunately, your will is not the law, my daughter. But know that we will never stop loving you with Daddy and will watch over you from heaven.
_ No, Mama. Don't leave me.
Lost and confused, but above all unwilling to let her mother, who was still breathing, die, the little girl began to cry out for help as loudly as her childish voice would allow. Suddenly, she saw a beautiful car followed by a truck pull up not far from her. Innocent, she saw a chance to save her mother and was tempted to approach, but when she saw a man get out of the car with his back to her and felt that he was malevolent, she stepped back and hid to observe. And it was with horror and fear that she saw his men dragging men, women, and children by force, not excluding beatings, into the truck. She immediately covered her mouth with her hands to prevent herself from screaming and thus drawing attention to herself. Only her efforts were frustrated when a child was hit so hard by one of the bullies that she fell unconscious almost to her feet as she screamed so loudly that all eyes focused on her. Without hesitation, she immediately began to run, in tears, her heart torn that she could have left her mother still alive, unassisted, and therefore most certainly dead.
She ran and ran until she lost all sense of direction and did not stop until she could no longer feel her feet and was sure she was long gone before she collapsed. It was then that she noticed she was near the beach and decided to approach it to drink the seawater, no matter how salty it was. She crawled towards the sea, unable to stand, but was stopped by a pair of leather shoes that got in her way. She got up and sat down to ask the person to move out of the way if she could not help him. It was with surprise and relief that she saw the man in question holding a bottle of water in his hands. She immediately extended her hand in his direction in the hope that he would give her the water bottle, but as if to make her long for it, he did not. Instead, he stooped down to her level and held out his right hand. Confused, Ndeye hesitated to accept the outstretched hand in her direction.
_ You're not going to hurt me? she asked innocently.
_ Of course not. I wouldn't dare hurt such a cute little girl like you, the man replied.
_ Promise?
_ I promise. You look like you need it more than I do (Giving her his bottle of water)
_ Thank you.
Her doubts about the man gone, Ndeye drank all the water in one gulp. But no sooner had she finished than she began to feel faint. The last thing she could see was the face of the man leaning over her, his features somewhat changed, and she realized she was dealing with a wolf, and especially the leader of those she was running away from, as he whispered in her ear, making her turn grey with fear.
_ You can't escape me, you silly girl.
She did not know how long she had been unconscious, but when she came to, she heard her malefactor talking to whoever it was behind the locked door of the room she was in.
_ You told me she'd wake up after forty-eight hours at the most, but now she's been sleeping for seven, seven days. I don't understand.
She became so frightened that she froze in place, her body shivering with fear.
_ I don't understand it either. This is how the spell should work.
_ There must be something wrong with her.
_ This must be related to her identity!
_ What identity?
_ Don't try to understand and just do as he asked.
_ By that you mean I can do whatever I want with her? Even taste her.
_ Yes, as long as you destroy her and prevent their future union.
_ Perfect, then.
Although she had not understood much of what they were saying, Ndeye felt that she was the object of their discussion and that she was in great danger if she remained at my place without doing anything. She immediately looked around to see a window to her left. She left her position behind the door without further ado, intending to escape through the window, but just as she was about to jump, the bedroom door opened on her kidnapper, whose face contorted with anger as he noticed her. Aware that she was at risk if he caught her, she instinctively jumped out of the window and landed without too much injury but with her clothes torn in a few places but not enough to expose her. Strange, however, to the area in which she found herself, she then began to run without knowing where to go, just in the hope of escaping him.
She was still running when the sun went down and tired and above all hungry, she dropped to the foot of a tree to rest and regain her strength before continuing. Only she couldn't do it, found by her kidnapper who dragged her through the dirt like a sow and led her back to his domain where he beat her with a whip until she lost consciousness, her back bleeding. She was then thrown into a cell where she woke up after two days of unconsciousness. Her cellmate Coumba informed her of their current situation and pledged to be her friend. However, this pure friendship was no match for the ill-treatment they had to endure and the repeated attempts to run away from home by Ndeye, whose back was completely scarred by the lashes she had received, but also, as a result of Ndeye's last attempt, was branded with the initials of her torturer: K. M, Khadim Mathis. Following this attempt, in which she was with Coumba and which took place three years after their capture, Ndeye calmed down and then let herself wither despite her friend, until she became a shadow of her former self, kept alive by the only hope of regaining her freedom. But the more Ndeye grew, the more she attracted the attention of Khadim, who wanted her more and more each day without her knowing anything about it, and the years passed like falling leaves on a tree.
And so it was that a week before Moha's twentieth birthday, after Khadim had beaten to death two children aged six and seven for just stealing some food from the kitchen, starving to death, Coumba was horrified and called the Alpha Ibra whose number she had memorized from having once seen him on TV. Unfortunately, she only had the opportunity to shout for help before running away, interrupted by Khadim's arrival in his office. And so, a week later, furious at having come so close to being denounced by the person he thought was Ndeye, he r***d her in an unprecedented way before abusing her, snatching her innocence and finally satisfying a long-suppressed and contained desire. She was lucky to have Aziz and Coumba by her side who did not let her die. And as if that wasn't enough, he almost r***d her a second time, stopped in his tracks by the arrival of Moha and his g**g, thanks to whose intervention she was able to flee, losing sight of her only and best friend Coumba. But at least, even if she still felt guilty for abandoning her friend, she didn't despair of seeing her again but had also gained a loving family she wouldn't want to part with, a great pack and above all, a soul mate she cared for dearly.
