Still in the woods.
“Wait right there, I’ll help you,” Andrew, the fourth Duke of York said as he quickly pulled himself out of the pond and jerked on his trousers.
The girl was frantically pulling at all the clothing wrapped around her, trying to escape. Why women draped themselves in so many layers baffled the hell out of him.
Quickly striding towards the girl, Andrew pushed through the bush and began untangling her scarf from the thorns. Her little dog was prancing around his ankles the whole while.
Looking into her big blue eyes, he realised the haughty little thing was afraid of him.
Smirking to himself he said, “Well, that’s what you get when you run away scared.”
Immediately her eyes sparked with fire, “Who do you think is scared? Certainly not me! I was just giving you your privacy back. For your information, I didn’t even know you were in there!”
“Really?” He smirked at her.
“I don’t lie,” she said in a quieter voice. Unable to continue looking at his disquieting face, she looked down.
“Oh my God, where’s your shirt?”
“Where do you think it is?”
“I don’t know, but it should be on your body,” she exclaimed.
Slowly releasing her, Andrew strolled over to his clothes draped over a branch, “So, what brings you to my pond?”
