The Breakup

*Kring Kring* Just another day at a hellish school, where you can see various faces. The Famous, Rich, Appealing, and Talented. In short, the FRAT people. Well, you can also see couples kissing beside one of the lockers, wanna-be groups, and many more. Anyway, let me introduce my- “Amy….. Amy…. Amelia Lilith Mercado Young!” Ugh, forget about introducing myself. I turned around and gave my best frenemy a death glare upon yelling my full name, which obviously I certainly hate the most. *sighs* What does this woman of Satan want right now? Well, how about teasing her a little…“What is it this time, Jacqueline Marie Dela Cruz?” And yes, if I hate people calling me by my complete full name. If there is a most intense word for hate, I bet that will describe the feeling of jacky right now and to someone who calls her by her full name, I mean duh Jacqueline? What are we in the 1940s? Anyway, my frenemy in front of me is clearly starting to plot my death in her head. “Now we are even... So, why did you call me earlier?” “Oh, I dunno. Maybe because Sir Domingo said something about the upcoming prom dance and he said to look for you because certainly, you are the student council president, and you sho-.” I suddenly dropped my math book and yelled upon realizing what she had just uttered. “Oh my gosh, Jackkyyyy! Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” I picked up my Math book while Jacky was starting to reprimand me. “Why you ungrateful and dumb student council president! I was going to tell you earlier if you didn’t make me imagine how I'd t*****e you upon calling me by my first na-.” “Ugh! I’ll meet you inside the classroom after my boring talk with Sir Domingo.” I started to run towards the principal’s office. I was now facing the principal's office door and was ready to knock when. “ Would you look at that? Hi Ms. dumb president.” The man in front of me said after checking me out. Meet Nikolas Jude Vitale Alexus Jones, everyone. Well, you could say we are the cat and dog inside the classroom. Oh, let me rephrase that, I meant the whole campus, not just inside the classroom, but…Okay, okay, I know what you’re thinking guys and you are definitely right. I had feelings for him for 6 years but it dissipated because of an unforeseeable moment in my life. I can also say that the word “betrayal” came into the picture. Anyway, I bet my face is now like the color of Snow White’s sandals because this handso-... this infuriating guy in front of me is so annoying that I badly wanna slap his hellish face that is currently plastering that signature smile of his. Ugh, how bad can this day be? But, we don’t want to let that spawn of satan astound us, don’t we? It is time for us to return the favor to him. “Oh, hello to you too, Mr. Math Nerd with a cool guy facade. Ugh, step aside now cause you are blocking the door with your bamboo-type body.” I pushed him aside so that I could finally enter the room and start my boring talk with the so-called almighty principal. …. After the boring talk with our principal, I was now sitting at my assigned desk inside the classroom and was in the middle of balancing my homework and the event plan for the prom dance that Sir Domingo gave me earlier, when my satan of a friend suddenly startled me with her earsplitting voice. “ Oh to the M to the G, Amyy!” She was shaking my shoulder intensely and I felt like my whole consciousness wants to get out of my system. “You wouldn’t believe what I heard!” “What the F, Jacqueline! Are you trying to make me vomit?” “Oh come on, Amy. No need to call me by that hideous name. Anyway, I am sorry, not sorry, okay. But you won’t want to miss this tea. I heard about Nikolas and Faith-” Oh yeah, I forgot to introduce my ex-best friend, Faith Arellano Johnsons who betrayed me and decided to flirt and date Nikolas when she literally knew my feelings for that devil spawn. We were in 10th grade at that time and it was Valentine's dance day. I decided to grant my heart’s wishes and confess my feelings to Niko and so, I wrote a short message on a sticky note saying that “Hey, I want to meet you in the gym. I have got something important to tell you. - ghost”. I pasted it on his desk. I was on my way out of our classroom when Sir Domingo called my attention. “I have been looking for you, Amelia. We have a big problem. The crowns for Mr. & Ms. Valentines are missing! Let’s not waste more time and help us look for it.” I felt nervous immediately because of what he said. We put our efforts into making those crowns. I even spent a large amount of money from my own savings on the decorations because I know that I and Nikolas will definitely win those crowns. … After hours of looking, we literally just wasted our time because we found the crowns in Sir Domingo’s office above his book cabinet. “What! How, when, why- oh right! I am so sorry, students, I forgot that I put them up there to keep them safe and so that no one will steal them. Blame my forgetful brain, students. Erick, please get the crown and bring it to the gala room. The rest of you can now go back to the gala room. I am so sorry for the disturbance,” Sir Domingo said. What a frustrating, dumb, and forgetful human being! Numerous groans and reactions came out and were to be heard from the student council. I also decided to walk my way towards the gym and wait for Nikolas there. Well, back to my agenda for the night. I ran my heart out and went to the gym as fast as I could… I was now facing the gym’s double door and decided to open it, and how I wish I hadn't done it because I saw something that made my body temperature drop to 15 degrees celsius, dead in short. It was Faith and Nikolas, kissing under the moonlight. How romantic, right? “Amy? Ames!… Are you even listening?!” Jacqueline smacked my head to grab me back into the present. “Ouch, Jacqueline, that hurts, you know! You don’t need to smack my head, gosh!” I annoyingly stated. “What? Cause you are having a trip down to that very bad memory lane of yours, huh?” she said, obviously mocking me. “Shut up, what was it that you were trying to say earlier?” I said. “As I was saying, ugh. I heard Nikolas broke up with Faith because that cheeky and flirty ex-friend of yours was caught cheating with Jeremy and the fact that Nikolas himself caught the scene of the CRIME added an intense flavor to the tea!” she said while giggling. “What?! Jeremey, as in Jeremy Guerrero? The soccer player from section C?” “Hell, yeah baby. The one and only.” About the time the snake had her ecdysis.
