Aldin Randell

As I walked back to my dorm, I kept on thinking about the professor's words. Of course, I didn't want to harm anyone but even after beating that Eddy kid, he had called somebody else to attack me.

'If he does try to harm me again then this time I'll definitely not take it lightly, after all actions have consequences and he should learn that before he goes too far.' I thought to myself remembering Jake and that's when the said kid appeared right in front of me and next to him was a tall student who seemed slightly bulky.

"What do you want?" I asked with anger evident in my voice. This filled the student next to him with shock at my words.

"How dare you speak with such a tone to Ivan Eddy." The student said.

"I have no time for your shenanigans," I said and attempted to walk away from the both of them but I felt an arm on my shoulder. When I looked back it was the student who was next to Ivan.

"You seem not to know how to talk to nobility lowly commoner, you need to be taught a lesson on respect." He said.

"Get your disgusting hands off of me," I said enraged by this action.

"Make me." He said as he threw a fist at me.

I could see it coming and blocked it freezing his hand in the process to which he moved back.

"You've got some skill, but so do I." He said and the ice on his arm began to liquefy.

After the Eddy kid made a proposal to Derrick, Derrick accepted it. And now Derrick was facing Aldin as his opponent.

'That must have been his strongest spell, he went all out at the beginning of the fight, now it'll be much easier to deal with him.' Derrick thought to himself and never would he be that wrong again.

Derrick threw out an orb of water hoping to hit Aldin hard and get him on the ground but Aldin simply parried it away with a back hand swat, this infuriated Derrick to which he decided to go physical but all his attacks failed to land a hit. Even after trying his best to punch Aldin all his fists were blocked.

As Aldin was blocking the attack from Derrick he felt a stabbing pain from his arm. Ivan had taken the opportunity of their fight to stab Aldin and now blood was gushing from his arm.

"Oops." Aldin heard Ivan say and in a maniacal tone to it. Derrick used this opportunity to rush in for a punch but before he could even get close his entire body was frozen.

"I did nothing and yet you chose to provoke me every chance you get, and now you go ahead and stab me," Aldin said as he began walking towards Ivan.

"Don't get close to me you commoner scum!" Ivan shouted as Aldin kept on walking towards me.

"And why, just because I don't bear noble blood, what foolish thoughts you have, how will your blood help you right now!" Aldin said in a loud and angry voice ignoring Ivan's words and in a raised tone.

"Who gave you the right to determine my worth, I would have ignored you if this was just a harmless attack but now I'll show you my worth, I will show the whole school including all you stuck up nobles!" at that moment the ground shook intensely which was felt throughout the entire academy and then the ground beneath them rose up and so did they, spike rose from the sides, this was seen from all over the school and right there and then Aldin froze both Ivan and Derrick.

"You're lucky that I can't kill you because of the school rules and if you try your tricks again I don't think I can guarantee that," Aldin said before jumping off the edge and landing on the ground with light constructs to lighten his landing.

This had been witnessed by the entire school. As Aldin made his way to the infirmary, whispers spread everywhere he went and soon everyone had been informed of what had happened.

"Did you see that?"

"I can't believe his just a commoner like us."

"Did you see how high it was, I wonder which tier his in."

"Why does this feel familiar."

"I think he could even beat Darvin."

These were the statements that went rampant in the halls like a forest fire drawing everyone's attention and getting to everyone's ears. Meanwhile, members of the white dragon dorm had gotten out due to the quacking. When they got out they all saw the giant pillar.

"I don't think that was always there," Terias said looking at the pillar.

"And isn't that the kid that was bugging Aldin yesterday," Natalia said pointing at the frozen Ivan. "I think Aldin did this."

"But how could he use earth, isn't he a water-attributed mage?"Barrin asked

"About that, he's actually tri-attributed," Natalia said.

"WHAT!" The rest of the group said, in unison.

It was hard to believe because most would only be awakened as single attributed but occasionally bi-attributed mages would appear and tri-attributed mages would be even rarer that it was considered a myth but now one had appeared at the academy.

"That explains a lot," Mark said. "But what's the other attributes?" He asked.

"It's light," Natalia said and the whole group sighed and all of them had one that. 'That's way too overpowered.'

"But where is he?" Natalia asked.

"Let's ask the students, they might know where he went off to."

As the group walked around? it was as if nobody had noticed them since everybody was deep in conversation. Terias asked one of the students and after learning of his whereabouts they all headed to the infirmary.

Meanwhile, in the principal's office Professor Kyle was on his knees, the Professor Aldin had met prior to his fight.

"You just had to scheme didn't you." The principal said.

"At least now we know what he's capable of," Kyle said with a peal of nervous laughter.

"You're lucky that he didn't outright kill them or we would be dealing with a disaster, and one snarling comment and I'll dislocate your jaw." The principal said, in a quite slow threatening voice.

Kyle had known of Ivan's plan and pushed Aldin's battle to get some action but he had been discovered by the principal.

'And after seeing that I don't the other professors can bring out his potential.' The principal thought to himself.

"Guards, summon Aldin Randell to my office right now.

On my way to the infirmary, all the students stood staring at me and even some of the guards. The nurse treated my wound and bandaged it up nicely. I was about to leave and head back to the dorm when my dorm mates walked in, instead of asking if I was okay they just stood there and stared. Natalie was about to speak but got interrupted when one of the school's guards walked in.

"Aldin Randell, you have been summoned to the principal's office." The guard said.

'I knew this would happen, I hope he meant all that he said about power.' I thought to myself

"I'll see you back at the dorm," I said to at least calm their nerves.

On the way the guard was silent. When we got to the principal's office he stood stiff and, "he is waiting for you onside." He said to me

When I walked in I could see the principal behind his desk, he had a calm demeanour and on the edge of the room, I could see the Professor whom I had met at the arena.

"Please have a seat." He said in a polite tone.

"Thank you," I said.

"I wanted to discuss your most recent incident he said and pointed out his window where I could see the large earth pillar I had erected." He said now in a serious tone and I felt pressure emitting from him and I let out a nervous laughter to try and ease up.

"No need to worry, we already got information on Ivan Eddy's peculiar behaviour. I would like to commend you for standing up for yourself and not carelessly using your power. The duo will be left there until dusk as a punishment for their actions." He continued. "And as a professor, I am happy to see your great mastery of the arts of magic, but I must ask where you learnt magic arts before joining our institution?"

"My parents," I said to him. At that moment I saw his expression change to one of shock.

"And what occupations do your parents have."

"They are the captain and vice-captain of a city near the borders," I answered.

"is that so," He said with a smile on his face. "Then how would you feel about learning magic directly from me." At these words, the Professor who had been silent till then let out a small shocked gasp which was silenced by a glare from the principal.

All this came as a surprise to me, hopefully, I'd be able to achieve more but would I be able to handle it?

"No need to worry about your lessons, all il be doing is strengthening your accumulated knowledge." He said.
