It's been ages since I've seen anyone other than my family members and Humaira. Well not really, just a few days but it feels like forever as we've just been so busy organising things for the halls and we even managed to pack my belongings. God!!! I even organised all of our outfits. Honestly, there was nothing to do but wait. Wait for the wedding day, wait for the Walima! Yes. A lot of waiting is required for the next few days.
Anyway. Today I finally got out! Ahh, that makes it sound like I was in a prison but it was similar. We were going to GPU- the Global Peace Unity Event and a bit of research resulted in me finding out Maher Zain's going to be there!!! *insert girl squealing*
If you knew me at all you would know I have all of Maher Zain's nasheeds/naats saved in my phone and I have all the CD's... You can say I am a fan!
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
The car beeped outside, me and Haleena rushed to get outside.
My heart was beating erratically as I knew that my husband would be driving the car and the fact that I would be sitting in his car with him for over three hours.
Me, Qasim, Haleena, Aneesah and Abid were going in Qasim's car, no point of taking three different cars when we could all just go together, right?
I was dressed in a sky blue maxi dress (with a black under-shirt, so I didn't have to wear a cardigan due to the short sleeves) with a silver hijab, strapped up with silver gladiator sandals.
I didn't know what to wear because I was just wondering what the heck he would be wearing and if we would ever talk, I honestly doubted it with the three big kids we had with us as the three have been torturing me on w******p since we found out that we were all going to GPU together by texting me repeatedly in 'THE' group chat -they're pretty consistent- and asking me whether I think I can have a conversation with him and what-not.
Haleena was wearing maroon jeans with a gold shimmery top and a white hijab. She wanted to be "colourful "her words not mine.
I honestly thought it was because she was busy dreaming about Abid and her mind probably stopped functioning.
"Khuda- Hafiz (goodbye) everyone" we screamed before slamming the door shut.
"So sis, is this your flirting time?" Haleena mischievously inquired.
I looked at her and could tell she was holding back laughter, I just grinned determined not to answer any of the childish questions thrown my way.
Making our way to his black Mercedes, I opened the back door determined not to be sitting next to him on the passenger seat but to no avail.
"To the front, my dear sister-in-law!" My oh-so-charming future brother-in-law yelled.
Inwardly I was overflowing with glee but couldn't help be anxious due to the fact that he didn't say it himself but oh well, who cares, right?
I made my way to the passenger seat while Haleena made her way to sit next to Aneesah who was in the middle of the two love-birds..
Once I was sitting ready for the car to drive, I greeted everyone "Salaam and morning!" They all had varied replies; dull and bored- seeing as we all had to wake up early to get ready and be there on time; 6'O'Clock, it was understandable.. That's way too early for people who don't sleep on time!!
Qasim just grinned and said "Morning" he was dressed in a black Hugo Boss polo peeking out from under his sky-blue hoodie, zip undone, matched with black chinos and black Adidas high-tops with black Aviators covering his hazel eyes.
Awwh, I won't be able to see his eyes.
Wait a second, back-up, SKY-BLUE HOODIE!
WE'RE MATCHING!! I inwardly fangirl shrieked.
"Hey, we're matching" He pointed out.
I just smiled and said "yes, yes, we are"
What the heck else are you supposed to say when your fiancé/husband points out you're wearing matching coloured clothes?
But of course Abid, Aneesah and Haleena overtook the conversation "Awwh, you both been texting each other outfit ideas?"
Qasim groaned and said "Enough don't make me come there and rip all your heads out!"
"Violent!" I spoke up, my voice came back miraculously.
"Sorry, but they've been ruining my life this past week texting me all the time about... you!" He groaned.
"Hey, they've been doing that to me too! But how's that a bad thing to talk about? I'm pretty awesome!"
"Yeah, you are pretty awesome!" He grinned.
I just blushed, "Just, just sort them out ok."
We both turned to them but they all had headphones in and sunglasses on, I just grinned at their immature behaviour.
I turned my head to him, realising his face was centimetres away from me but this time, hazel eyes were gazing at me not his aviator sunglasses which were actually perched on his head. I just stared back at him, my blush getting darker with each passing second.
It was as if he knew I wanted to see his beautiful eyes.
"You look absolutely beautiful today." He whispered, his breath hitting my nose making me involuntarily shiver.
"Thank you" I timidly replied.
He backed up away from my face-placing his sunglasses back over his eyes regretfully- after staring at me for over a minute.
Shaking his head, he finally started driving.
I just grinned and put my own aviator sunglasses on, removing them from my side-bag.
He laughed deeply when he glanced side-ways "Perfect, that was what was missing" he teased.
I just stuck my tongue at him and said "Stop bullying your fiancé okay!"
He chuckled and then said "Okay, boss"
"Boss, I like that!" I grinned.
"You would, wouldn't you?" he stated.
Shaking my head, I put my headphones in determined to catch up on my lost sleep for at least an hour.
Feeling sorry for him, I took one headphone out and then asked him "Want to listen to some nasheeds?"
"Yeah, why not?" He grinned.
Oh crap, I have to put my headphone in his ear, which means TOUCHING HIM!
I put it in his ear but I could feel him edging slightly closer to my hand making me beam.
Once I placed it in his ear without having to worry about it coming out every two seconds, I went through my phone for my favourite nasheeds.
Once I played my favourites I could tell he liked it as he smiled instantly.
An hour later...
My headphone was still in my ear but nothing was playing- Qasim probably paused it when he realised I was napping. Anyway- that's not the point-I FELL ASLEEP!
Crap. I moved my head to the side to see Qasim looking at me smiling-clearly we were in traffic. I didn't say anything and he had no clue I was looking at him as my Aviators miraculously stayed over my eyes covering them from his view.
I nestled closer to the seat, watching him stare at me lovingly/in adoration?
I cleared my throat making him jump "Morning Qasim!" I grinned.
He looked absolutely flustered which in turn made him look absolutely adorable; I had to bite my lip to stop myself from laughing.
"Morning Khadijah!"
My phone beeped with a message, looking at the screen, I got a message from Haleena which said- Awwh he looks cute!
I just grinned and replied- Shut the hell up!
Then Haleena sent a message to the group which consisted of me, Abid, Aneesah and Haleena herself.
Haleena- Look at these two, already flirting
Aneesah- Innit tho, come on woman, man up and tell him the three special words
Khadijah- Kill yourselves!
Abid- Come on sis, enough with the violence, you know you do love him and he clearly loves you.
Quitting the app, I groaned out loud.
"It was them three, wasn't it?" Qasim questioned.
"Yep, who else would it be?"
"What did they say this time?"
"Uhm, they said that..."
"Any day today Khadijah!" He teased.
"Don't worry, just leave it."
He frowned so I quickly tried to recover his smile "I will tell you the day you marry me officially."
What? I couldn't exactly tell him I loved him with three people in the back and in a car ride, I haven't even being able to spend some time with him so hell no, I am not letting him know I love him that soon.
It just seems stalker-ish! Ok! Oh my Allah, I LOVE him. I LOVE the man I married.. I mean that's normal... But does he LOVE me back? According to Abid- he does but who listens to him anyway apart from Haleena -love-struck couple!
He laughed, "That day's coming, sweetheart!"
My heart practically stopped beating, smiling at him "In Sha Allah."
"In Sha Allah" he repeated.
"Oi, you three, get up we got 10 minutes until we're there!" Qasim screamed at the idiots behind us.
They cheered "About time! We've had absolutely enough of the romance between you two"
Choosing to ignore the immature comments, I just turned towards the window and smiled...
I had the most perfect life right now Alhamdulillah!
In Sha Allah nothing changes!
