CHAPTER 11 Jolted from my reverie, I quickly started the car and shifted into reverse before risking a peek through the window. It wasn't a bad neighborhood or anything but you never know. What I saw was a white guy in dark sunglasses and a black baseball cap turned backwards. He had scraggly facial hair and a thick silver chain hanging halfway down his wife beater t-shirt. Baggy jeans and expensive sneakers completed the ensemble, but it was the fake arm tattoos that got me. After the day I'd had, I found the whole thing hysterically funny.
