“It seems the enemies are a step further than we are” I spoke. I don't need to add any more words, he knows exactly what I mean.
“s**t?” His voice sounded alert now, unlike when I called earlier.
“Yeah s**t is bad” I mumbled in agreement.
“They have Terra?” He asked and I could hear the urgency laced in his words as he spoke.
“No, Terra is here with me. They took Landon” Just saying it out caused this surging anger to boil within me but I tried to keep myself calm for Terra. My anger is not what she needed at this vulnerable moment.
“This is bad, how did they even manage to get that close? This fuckers are really hell-bent on getting themselves in our bad book” He sounded furious, one of the main reasons why I reached out to him.
