Humanus Welt Philippine Sea Year 2035 “Do we really have to travel using this boat, Cashmere?” Itan said in annoyance. The sea is making her sick, especially that the waves keep on slamming on their vehicle. Cashmere just stared at her for a while, before putting his attention back on the wheel. “Master’s order, Sheritan,” he answered without looking at her. She stomped her feet in dismay, especially to the name he called her. “Uggh, it’s Itan only okay? Sheri’s not here,” she said looking annoyed and march to the other side of the boat where the others are. ‘Why are we even here? This mission looks boring as hell,’ she said at the back of her mind while she continued to roam the area. “Sheri—“ Klio stopped talking when Itan glared at her. She just shook her head and spat at her sudden change of personality. “I still can’t cope up at how you change personality at once, Itan,” she said. Itan just shrugged her shoulders and walk past by her. She scanned the room and saw the two boys playing chess in the table. “Check! Hah! I knew I could win this time!” Ros exclaimed as he moved his queen parallel to Salvatore’s king. Salvatore just smirked as his piece started to float and eat his opponent’s queen. Roscoe’s eyes become wild in shock as he saw how his queen disappears, and that Sal’s rook is now directly pointed at his King. “Checkmate,” Salvatore grin as he saw Ros pulling some Moola in his pocket. Ros groaned in annoyance as he hand him his last Moola, or money. He stand up from the chair and mumble inaudible words before going out of the room. “Tulong! Tulungan n’yo kami!” Klio went to the deck and close her eyes to concentrate. “Oh God, please help!” Klio clearly heard the plea and ran to where the group is. Ros is about to leave the room when Klio pushed her back and closed the door hard. “Salvatore, someone needs help! I can hear her!” she exclaimed. Itan sprung from her seat and went to her direction. “Where?” she asked. Klio did not answer and went to the open part of their boat. “Over there!” she pointed at the direction she heard the sound with. Klio has enhanced senses that help her in sorting things that a mere mortal can’t do. Salvatore went to her place and signaled Itan to do her work. The latter gladly obliged and called on the wind for help. “Power of the wind bestowed within me, help us reach the location in no time,” she chanted. The cold sea breeze started whirling in their direction. The large amount of air she called is enough to push them in a speed of light. She put her arms down when she saw the mountain a few meters from them. “Tulong!” someone shouted in the water. Their entire gaze fixed on someone who is wearing a military suit while blood is dripping from her forehead. Salvatore nods at Ros and the latter didn’t waste any second. He jumped in the water and reached the woman in no time. With the help of Itan’s wind, they easily get up in the boat without a sweat. The girl looks astonished for a while, but she stand firm and faced Salvatore who is staring intently at her. “I am Captain Meaghan Lewis Abeita from the Philippines, and I need your help,” a girl wearing a military suit said. She looks pretty yet fierce. The blood on her forehead is almost dried due to Itan’s wind a while ago.           “What’s the problem, sweetie?” Ros asked sweetly. Itan just rolled her eyes in annoyance and cross her arms while examining the lady.           Her mouth formed an “ohh” when she realized what she just said. Her attention went to Cashmere who is also intently looking at the lady. He smiled as if he thinks of something.           “My friends and I are held captive by the bandits, and they were up there,” she said while pointing the direction in the mountain. Salvatore is about to say something when Cashmere tapped his shoulder. They stared at each other as if communicating through the mind.           Salvatore just nodded and sighed before facing Meaghan again.           “I’m sorry,” he said. “We can’t help you with that. It’s your mission to save humanity, Meaghan Abeita,” he said before snapping her fingers. The girl suddenly lost consciousness, and good thing that Ros catches her on time.           “Bring her back to the mountain Itan, and Klio,” he paused and looks at Klio who nods at her before pointing a finger at her forehead. A small beam of light appeared in her forehead, before she completely disappeared in their sight.           “Why do we need to send her out? We could have killed those bandits she’s talking about,” Itan retorted. Salvatore just shook his head, before facing the mountain in front of them.           “She’s the key to our success, hunters. May the force be with her,” he said in a low voice.           “Attention hunters, come back to Blackport PD now,” a voice echoed in their head. It’s their commander, using telepathy to communicate with them. Without further ado, they hold hands and in a snap of finger, they are already in the place.           “W-What the hell is happening,” Sheri exclaimed. She shifts to her other personality again and is welcome by the chaotic sight.           Their building is collapsing as the ground continues to shake. The wind blows harshly as the rain pours hard. Lightning struck the place and she was about to get hit when Ros grab her by the arm.           Without wasting any second, they teleported to where their commander is and saw him in an awful state. A big block of wall is almost crushing him, and beneath him is a small child crying. “Save him! He’s our only chance!” he shouted while pushing the wall more. Ros grab the child away from it and tried helping their commanded but it’s too late. He is already below the heavy wall.           “Commander!” Klio and Sheri shouted in unison. They were about to come forward when a big tree falls in their way.           “Stop! Sheri, cover us with your wind!” Salvatore commanded as he kneeled in front of the child.           “Are you okay? Are you –“ his sentence stopped midway when the child’s eyes glow in bright blue.           “Save the world, travel back through time,” he said in a deep voice.           Almost all of them looked shocked because of what is happening. All, except Cashmere and Salvatore who knew this would happen.           “Find her, save us,” the child said again. Sal was about to touch him when Sheri shout in horror.           “Klio!” she shouted. Their gaze look at Klio who is standing bewildered in front of them. She slowly moves her gaze to her stomach and saw that a big metal pipe passed through Sheri’s wind and pierced her. She laughed a bit before looking at everyone who looks shock at her state.           “I-I’m h-happy that I m-met you, h-hunters,” she uttered before falling on the ground. Ros catches her and slightly tap her face.           “H-Hey Klio, w-wake up. Don’t p-prank us like this,” he said while shaking but there is no response from her. Blood keeps dripping from her mouth and stomach as the rain penetrates her cold body.           A loud sound was heard, before the building finally collapses on their direction. The entire area is covered with debris and other hazardous materials. Shouts of agony and pain could be heard anywhere.           “I can’t hold this anymore!” Sheri exclaimed while keeping the barrier still so that the large debris above them won’t crush them. Ros lay Klio’s lifeless body on the ground and tried helping Sheri in stopping the debris from falling.           “If we ever failed to survive, just remember Sheri that I had loved you since day one. Even though your other personality is annoying at times, I will love you, even on the other side,” Ross confessed. Sheri just cried because of what she heard.           “I love you too, Ross,” she confessed before looking at the people behind him.           “We can’t take it anymore, Salvatore. I can only save the child and a single adult,” she said. Her breathing is now rugged because of the excess usage of power.           “Save the world, travel through the past,” the child repeatedly chanted. Cashmere smiled at Sal and pats him on the back.           “Save the world, Salvatore. Save us all.” Cashmere went to Klio’s body and hugged her for the last time, before helping Ros and Sheri out.           “Go on, Sal. We’re counting on you,” he said before the two of them disappeared.           “Just like what Klio said, I’m lucky to meet you, hunters,” Cashmere exclaimed. He smiled sadly at the crying Sheri and nods at her. Ros is already getting weak, but still managed to smile at them.           “See you on the other side,” were the last words they said before the debris fall and crushed their body.
