Amethyst

202 Words
Amethyst had always been too matured for her age. The world just made sense to her. What was always obvious to her seemed far-fetched to her average peers. She was an introvert that enjoyed the arts and reading. You would always find her head stuck in a book while her friends were busy conversing about their latest cutest fixation and MXIT. While the average teen was hyperventilating about boys, Amethyst was just not interested in wasting her precious time on worldly things. It all just seemed too boring for her.  Her vivid imagination and books took her on countless adventures. The universe was endless, that's why she would much rather spend her time reading or visiting the elderly. She whole-heartedly admired the elderly. While the world ignored them and alienated them, she knew that there was so much to learn from them. They were walking testimonies as to everything a young person still needs to learn about life. Being raised by her grandparents she discovered the meaning of true endless love from a very young age. Her grandparents were the epiphany of true love. This brought upon her hopeless romantic nature, and it birthed her longing for something that she knew was missing.
