The Return of the Beta

Jonah’s POV*

The pain started to dim away and suddenly I was awake. CAT YOU b***h! So she knew about the deal, did that mean that Adri also knew?

I didn’t have time , I had to go into the battle, when I got there Fran was trying to hurt my Adri. 

“ENOUGH YOU SAID YOU WOULDN’T HURT HER!”

“I SAID I WOULD DO WHAT HAD TO BE DONE TO MAKE SURE TO MAKE HER YOURS! THAT IS NOT THE SAME! She just tried to kill us and since you just outed yourself you ruined your chance. BRING ME THE ALPHA!”

*Narrators POV*

From the back of the battlefield two unshifted werewolves dragged Max to Fran. Becka’s eyes shined with glory as she gloated.

“b***h looks like you’ll finally get what you deserve. Your mate dead, underground, and away from you forever. Jonah you can take his leftovers since its what you truly desire anyway. UNCHAIN HIM!”

As Max got freed Fran commanded to Jonah.

“You do the honors, take the dagger and KILL HIM!”

Adri’s POV* 

I watched the scene unfold, knowing what had to happen. Max would fight until his last breath and Jonah would kill him. I had already seen that before, but the anger inside me kept bubbling and so a Max lost his last breath and Jonah stabbed him in the heart I turned to Ang. 

“Ang… Bring the leverage.”

“Adri you said you wouldn’t-”

“They think they can take my soulmate from me and get away with it. Bring. Me. The. Leverage.”

“BRING IN VICTORIA.”

Fran and Becka’s eyes turned from selfish happiness to terror in seconds. 

Victoria’s eyes were filled with regret and fear as she could feel her end coming. What she didn’t know was that I wasn’t going to kill her. I would make her forget everything about her aunts. Let her live her life without being attached to the the witches. Take the bad out of her.

It would hurt them more than her death. To know their only family wouldn’t remember them.

Victorias eyes closed as the selected memories got wiped clean, when she opened them she looked sorry and scared. 

“I’m sorry Adri for all I did to you… I don’t know why I did it… Where am I?”

“It’s okay Victoria it’s not your fault. Twins take care of her for now, I’ll explain to her later, I have a Mate to get back.”
