In Death Comes Life

Adrianna’s POV* 

he … he has to die. It’s the only way. I have to be strong, it’s the only way to bring him back. With the energy left over from the dead bringing back to life the nearest to the end…. 

People have to die… this is war there has to be casualties…. 

I have had my heart crushed several times. Max had the power in his hand to destroy what was already broken. But no he wasn’t the one that had everything and took it all away. 

Jonah broke me. I fell in love with him. Something Max never found out. Jonah was my first true love and I had to watch the person I love reject me. I became friends with him to at least have something. Some kind of relation. Angelica and Cat are the only ones who know how much he truly hurt me. 

As much as Max hurt me, all he did was further harm what was already in pieces. I love Max. I always will. Although I realised something. The love I have for him is soulmate love. Something that is stronger than me. Which is why I forgave him. 

I thought that was what I had for Jonah… maybe it was in a way. He did something worse than break me. He betrayed me, sold one of his brothers ...for me. 

Why?! He’s the one who rejected me! I was left in the dust of the friendzone for him and he thinks that by killing my soulmate… the one who I know can fix me.. The one who will be there for me and will fight for me… He’s dead wrong. 

I look down at my ring again. Lianna,  I will get my soulmate. Even if it means my first true love has to die for him. He was willing for Max to die, more like savoring it, maybe this will show him. You don’t break Adrianna West and not pay for it.
