The End of the Beta

Narrators point of view*

Adrianna didn’t know what to do, her mate’s lives was lost because of Jonah. But she had loved Jonah with all her heart. If Max hadn’t walked into her life the would still have feelings for Jonah. But Max did come back. Despite all the hurt he brought into her life he was also the best thing that could ever have happened to her. He showed her what it meant to belong, to have someone who cared. All Jonah did was reject her. 

“Jonah how do you feel about me? Don't bullshit me because I know more than you think I do so out with it." 

“I… I love you Adri….”

“If you loved me why dud you reject me, why did you string me along and let us be friends, and why when I finally found someone who loved me as much as I do them did you have to do this. If you loved me you would have told me. You would have told Max, who has been your best friend all of your life. He is your alpha and you betrayed him and your pack. If you truly loved me you would have let me be happy, not have been selfish and gone out to plan my misery for your happiness. You knew you would have a mate. Someone at that who I know would have loved you with everything she has because that is the type of person she is. You just lost the person who would have made you whole for someone who wasn’t even your mate. I admit I loved you, but I love Max and have for months now even when he hurt me. But you, Jonah, hurt me more than anyone could.”

“Adri…. I rejected you because you weren’t my mate, and despite that I still loved you… isn’t that enough.”

If looks could kill Jonah would have exploded with the looks Max and Angelica were giving him. 

“No Jonah it’s not….”

Tears started to slowly stream down Adri’s voice. Her voice cracked when she made her choice

“A-Angelica…. Go ahead I … don’t have time for this, I … have a war to end.”

“FINALLY! Oh boy will you stay dead this time.”

Angelica’s POV*

I saw the fear in Jonah’s eyes as I approached him one final time. This fraud, sad excuse for a wolf let alone a man wrecked my best friend and I wasn’t going to let him survive any longer. 

*Liz and Ang*

Rip his heart out. Quick and simple. He’s suffered enough 

No he hasn’t! He hasn’t suffered half what he made Adri go through!

I know Ang but I don’t want her to suffer any longer than she has already. SHe doesn’t need to see her once love be tortured by her best friend.

“Let’s get rid of what I doubt you even have.”

This pathetic boy had the audacity to be crying. 

“P-p-please A-a-ng don’t... “

“You don’t deserve to call me that. σκίστε την καρδιά του από τη θέση του, προσγειώσεις την κοντά στο πρόσωπό μου!” 

His heart flew out of his body and I caught it as his body went limp. No one would revive him now. 

Adrianna’s POV* 

He’s dead…. After everything… He’s dead…

Baby I know you loved him. I know I don’t deserve you either but I love you okay…. I will never hurt you again… please honey don’t cry anymore…

You better not Maxie… The amount of pain you both brought e gives me the right to cry right now. I won’t shut you out anymore. I’ll let you in, but I won’t handle it if you hurt me again…

I won’t Adri. Never again my love…

I trust you Maxie… now get out of my head I have something to finish.

Becka and Fran’s eyes were wide in horror as they say what had happened. That we were truly stronger than they could ever be. They never had dealt with anyone capable of such power. 

“You both have lived for far too long, destroying innocent people, taking hybrid’s mates away because you both were too damn insecure in yourselves that there was someone out there that not only was strong and powerful, but was capable of compassion, kindness, and love. Someone who had others love them and a mate that would always be there. It was never about an unbalance in nature, because if I were an unbalanced force of nature I would be self destructive. A ticking time bomb. But everything I am, have, and surround myself with balances with each other. I have what you both could never have, a family. These people all are a part of my family, I don't control them they all chose to fight by my side. I never forced them here, I can’t say the same for your pack. Speaking of which maybe this will set them free.”

I felt my power surge within, buzzing with strength. My ring glowed brightly as I chanted.

“Πάρτε αυτές τις ψυχές να τους ελευθερώσουν από την κακή σύνδεση τους ελευθερώσει να είναι ποιοι είναι!”

Everyone one of the wolves looked at each other and felt their freedom urge through their veins. They looked at me with apologies and all ran away, clearly to continue the lives they once had. 

“And now, you simply have nothing. You are nothing.”
