“What do you mean, Mel?” Lola asked her mother-in-law, who seemed to have amnesia.
“What I know is that Shane will risk anything for you. I doubt that he would ever risk losing you.”
“Well, he did. He slept with that w***e who killed my child!” Lola spat, anger and resentment taking over her. She was getting irritated with Melisa too for making her doubt what she saw.
“Would you ever forgive a man who cheated on you?” Melisa questioned, not the least worried about Lola’s tamper. She was surprisingly very comfortable with Lola. More comfortable that she had ever been with any other woman before.
