The medical team was halfway through the corridor, heading to the ward when the nurse noticed a pool of blood around Lola.
“This is not usual. Something is wrong. Turn back to theatre!” the doctor exclaimed.
“We need blood urgently,” he added before they all turned around and rushed Lola back.
“What is going on?” Shane asked the moment he saw their expressions.
“She is bleeding profusely. I can’t explain it. We have to take her back.”

“Do everything necessary to save her. Everything,” Shane commanded.
“And test her for poisoning.”
