16 Before the tu’s first-born son, Bada, can rule, he must seek the blessing of the gods. For that, he and a holy advisor will journey down inside the sacred cave to the world of the dead, what we call Xibalba. There is much discussion and consultation between Bada, Father, Ian, and the shaman, but of this, I do not witness. What I know is that it is decided that my father, not Ian, must accompany Bada on this important journey.
