It’s been days since the meeting with the queen. What stayed with me was the advice from Lydia. She might have been harsh, but good advice doesn’t always come in nice packages.
I was glad to have a reprieve from the stares; association truly is everything around here. People fear the strong and despise the weak. After my chat with Lydia, the stares had stopped, and the passive-aggressive stance of most of the maids was reduced.
