LEXIE NEXT EVENING "You ready?" Mia called from downstairs, and I gave myself one last look in the mirror before grabbing my jacket and heading down to meet her. She was waiting at the bottom of the stairs in a bright yellow sundress that suited her perfectly, and Crow stood beside her looking freshly showered and suspiciously well groomed for a man who usually had grease permanently embedded under his fingernails.
