LEXIE My shift ended at five and the walk back felt good. I pushed through the bar door and found it quiet inside. Mia was stacking glasses at the far end, Crow was at the bar with water and what appeared to be half a sandwich, and Chaos was coming out of the back hallway with his jacket on and his helmet in his hand. He saw me and stopped. "Good timing," he said. "Come for a ride." I looked at the helmet in his hand. "Right now?" "Unless you had other plans." I looked at Crow. Crow looked at his sandwich. "Give me two minutes," I said. I dropped my bag behind the counter and grabbed my jacket properly and came back and Chaos was already heading for the door.
