LEXIE "Someone looks well rested," Crow said, sliding onto the stool beside me at the bar, grease already fresh on his hands despite it barely being nine in the morning. "I slept fine," I said, not looking up from my coffee. "Bet you did," he said, entirely too pleased with himself. "After a night like that." "It was a party, Crow. Everyone had a nice night." "Not everyone danced with the President," he said, grinning. "Half the town danced last night. You danced with three different people." "None of them looked at me the way Chaos looked at you," he said, and I nearly choked on my coffee. Mia, wiping down the counter nearby, didn't even try to hide her laugh. "I'm going to work," I announced, standing up before Crow could continue whatever this line of interrogation was building
