Kabanata 1: Saudade

MERIDA'S

"Oh, there's one of my great artists," What Felix said, or better known as Mr Go, the owner of Go Entertainment, made me giggle.

"Merida" he said softly but clearly enough for everyone to hear. I looked at him, and his eyes were sad, but I looked at him without emotion.

Anong akala niya? Madadala niya ako sa acting niya? Ang kapal naman talaga ng mukha niya.

"Do you know each other?" I didn't respond to felix's surprised question and instead focused on the man in front of me.

Timothy's group caught my attention. When one of them cleared his throat and laughed.

"Miss Merida is Timothy's idol. In our house, he plays her music all the time." Says the tall man with dimples.

Idol my ass tss.

"Anong meron?" kunot noong tanong ko at hindi pinansin ang sinabi nitong 'Idol' daw ako ni Timothy.

Tiyaka bakit nandito sila? What is Saudade doing here?

"Sit down first Merida."

I did as he said and ignored the two pairs of eyes that were staring at me.

"They are here to sign a contract."

"What?" I was stunned this time when I glanced at him.

"Yes, merida,"

"But why?" I looked at timothy he knew I was here. So bakit dito pa!? Kaya impossible! hindi ako naniniwalang coincidence lang to.

"Merida." When Felix called my name, he had a threatening tone in his voice, so I took a long breath and leaned back in my chair.

"So.. This is Kyle their leader" pambabasag nito sa awkward atmosphere. Their leader stood up and offered me a hand that I accepted. Nahiya naman tuloy ako sa inakto ko kanina dapat ay hindi ko sila dinamay sa galit ko. Baka isipin nila na masama ako.

When I looked at them all, I wasn't surprised because they were all really attractive and smelled great.

Kasi if they aren't attractive and talented, they will not last in the industry or in show business.

"Brian and Theodore." napangiti ako dahil ang cute ng dalawa at ang cute din ng height ni Brian parang kasing height ko lang.

"Si Alex at Nathan." napatawa naman ako ng umirap sakin si Nathan mukhang maarte ang isang to ah?.

"And Timothy." nawala ang ngiti sa labi ko at tinanguan na lamang ito.

Wala namang pinagbago sakaniya. I mean, he's still the same guy I used to know who could make any girl fall in love with his gaze, but the only difference is that he's become more attractive, and his body has grown as well. How can he still be attractive in this situation? Is it possible to seem unhappy and still be attractive?

Oh God Merida.

"Sige na Fel. Una na ako."

"All right, go ahead congratulations and be careful on your way home." I simply nodded and bowed to the visitors, tiyaka nag simulang lumakad paalis.

Saudade getting a contract with GO entertainment makes me uneasy.

I mean what happened to their manager? I have never heard of them being bankrupt or bankrupt. Tiyaka mabuti ang trato sakanila doon kaya bakit? At sa lahat ng pipiliin nila bakit sa GO Entertainment pa?.

"Are you all right?" She rushed over to me and gave me a worried look, which made me smile.

"Yes, and now they have already signed a contract with Go Entertainment."

"WHAT? That's a bunch of bullshit."

"Yes, I was startled as well earlier."

"What else does he need? Does your brother know about this?" Agad akong umiling.

"Hindi pa. Kaya wag ka munang maingay baka mag ala super sayan iyon pag nalaman niya."

Napatango naman ito at inayos ang bag niya.

"Do you want me to stay?"

"Can you?"

When we first opened the canned beer, I was dazzled by the bitter flavor, which made Hannah laugh.

"I can't even remember the last time I drank beer" because I was so busy and because we had strict regulations and limitations with the meals we ate because of our very strict entertainment, I didn't drink alcohol and just drank pure banana milk.

"So.. are you ready to talk to him?"

"Para saan pa?" Wala naman kaming dapat pag usapan.

"To bring things to a close?"

"Hindi naman naging kami kailangan pa ba yun?"

"Of course, and it's clear that the guy still likes you,"

"Luh. paano mo naman nasabi?" Tiningnan niya ako ng 'are-you-dumb-look'

"He's aware that you work in Go Entertainment. Why do you believe he followed you?"

"To sabotage me once more?" she let out a sigh.

"I heard everything that night, Hannah... he even said he didn't love me and was only using me... how could I still talk to him?" Saka ko niyakap ang unan ko.

Because of him, I hated my birthday and despised myself. He destroyed my life, and I despise him because our paths collided once more, and I despise destiny for not helping me in avoiding the beast.

"Besides wala naman kaming dapat pag usapan kasi okay na ako." I'm perfectly fine. When I saw him, I felt nothing but utter rage.

"You're upset, so you may say that."

Then she drank her beer.

"But remember, merida, the mouth and mind constantly lie, but the heart never lies," she said, pointing to her heart.

"The heart never lies" she said, looking out my window at the city lights.

"I'm seriously fine Hannah–"

"Because if you're really fine, why are you so affected?"

"Because if you're truly fine, why are you still acting like that and so terrified of Timothy?" she asked, causing me to clutch my beer.

"Because if you're truly fine, why did you stare at me as if you were in pain, and your eyes merida looked exactly as they did when he broke your heart years ago?"

Hindi ako nakapagsalita at ininom na lamang ang beer ko. She is wrong. Because I no longer have feelings for Tyler other than anger and rage. Bukod doon ay wala na.
