" Noona..." He said while looking at the blood on Ann's foot..
"Oh. Don't worry it's just a bruise." Ann smiled.
"Let's get that cleaned." Jaemin said then he stands up and get one of the water bag.
He assisted Ann to get up and sit on a rock inside the cave, then he poured water on Ann's feet to cleanse it. After cleansing it he wrapped her foot with cloth.
When he was done, Jaemin just looks at her and smiled.
"Thank you." Ann said.
"Remember? We couldn't take any risk of us getting injured." He said.
"Yes. I remember." she said.
For a moment they just smiled at each other.
Until Jeno speaks.
"It is no longer raining. But should we just spend the night here?" He asked.
"Yes. We'll have to wait for them to get better as well." Doyoung said referring to the two guys sleeping on his both sides.
Jaehyun and Mark are both asleep. This time they look more peaceful compare to earlier and their fever are starting to go down.
Doyoung use some of the coats they managed to somehow keep dry as blanket for the two.
As for the others they decided to gather stay close near the bonfire as much as possible to keep themselves warm.
Hours have passed, some manage to sleep while just leaning on to each other.
Ann wakes up from her sleep in the middle of the night. She checks on the two who are sick.
"Did they wake up already?" Ann ask Doyoung.
"No. Not yet. But their fever is already gone." Doyoung said.
"That's great. I still have few of the herbal leaves here." She said as she pull it out of her pocket.
She heated the leaves again on fire and then handed few to Doyoung.
She was removing the old leaves on Jaehyun's forehead when Jaehyun suddenly wakes up.
He seems to be surprised. He held Ann's hand and looked at her intently.
"Oh! Did I wake you up?" Ann said after recovering from being startled.
"Where are we?" Jaehyun asked instead of answering.
"We are with the others now. They found us." She smiled to reassure him.
Jaehyun suddenly realized he is still holding Ann's hand.
"Oh. I'm sorry." He said then let go her hand.
Ann continue to remove the old leaves.
"I'll put this on your forehead, okay?" She said asking permission to Jaehyun.
"Okay." Jaehyun agreed.
"You should go back to sleep. Have some more rest." She said.
Jaehyun thanker him and closed his eyes again to go back to sleep since he still feels a little dizzy too.
Morning came...
Taeyong woke up first.
He went out of the cave to do his business and when he comes back Jaehyun is already at the entrance of the cave.
"You're awake now. How are you feeling?" He asked Jaehyun.
"I feel okay now, Hyung. Thanks." Jaehyun said.
"That's great. Come on let's wake the others up. So we can all go back to our base." Taeyong said.
They wake up everyone and decided to go back down to their base.
Jaemin and Jaehyun both offered to help Ann by carrying her since she still has her foot covered with cloth.
But Ann refused both of them when Lucas also volunteered.
Ann piggy back on Lucas as they went down the hill. As for Jaehyun and Jaemin they both decided to walk with the two as close as possible.
When they reached their base. They couldn't help but to feel sad because all of the coconut leaves that they weaved patiently are now all gone.
"I guess we'll just have to collect more leaves." Doyoung said go cheer up everyone.
"Don't you think it will be best if we will just go back to the cave?" Lucas asks while he's letting Ann to hop off his back.
"It will be better if we stay here. It will be easier for the rescue team to see us." Taeyong said.
"We'll just go back there if needed." Doyoung added.
"Alright! Let's go. We still have a lot of work to do." Johnny said.
Ann decided to just hop using her other foot to prevent the injured one to touch the sand.
Ems helped her to keep her balance.
"The three of you should rest for now." Ems said to Ann, Jaehyun and Mark.
"I agree. It is best if you guys will take a rest. We'll take care of everything." Taeyong said too.
The three did not protest anymore and just decided to sit under one of the huge trees.
Mark whose still feeling a little tired decided to sleep again.
Jaehyun let Mark to use his lap as pillow. While he and Ann sit beside each other.
"How are you feeling now?" Ann asks Jaehyun.
"I feel a lot better now. Thanks for taking caring of us last night." He said with a smile.
"I am glad to hear that." Ann said with a smile.
"How about your feet? Does it still hurt?" Jaehyun asks.
"No. It should be just fine. I just have some bruises that's why it is covered." Ann said.
Jaehyun just nodded.
Then he said while looking intently on Ann's face. "I am thankful that you ladies are with us here in the island."
Ann just looks at him, unable to say any word because of the overflowing happiness in her heart.
"You make us feel comfortable and help us with the best that you can. Thank you. " Jaehyun continued.
Ann just smiled and then focused her gaze to the vast ocean and sky in front of them.
She couldn't stand to look at him for too long. Her heart might explode.
After sometime after recovering from over flowing emotions. Ann spoke, "Thank you as well for everything. You guys make it less difficult for us."
She did not look at Jaehyun at all, but from her peripheral view she can see that Jaehyun looks at him and smiled.
They just stayed silent afterward as they observe the others collecting leaves.
Then Jaemin joins in and sits beside Ann...
