6 It wasn’t a long wait in reception before Chelsea was called into Dr Carson’s office. Chaz gave her arm a squeeze when she stood to follow the nurse. She gave him a nervous smile. “I’ll be here when you’re done,” he said. Dr Carson was sitting at her desk when she was led in. “Have a seat.” She sat down, her body rigid, bracing herself for whatever the doctor told her. “The blood tests came back normal for you and the baby. No genetic abnormalities. The ultrasound also shows a normal growth for the gestation period. The placenta is sitting at the back of the fetus at the moment but should move to the top further along when the baby is preparing for birth. Lastly, you’re in top physical form for your age. There’s no reason at this point why you shouldn’t have a normal, healthy pregna
