8 Chelsea dragged herself into the Centre. She hadn’t slept much the night before. It had been two days since Chaz had cancelled his visit the night he’d driven her back to work from the Medical Clinic. In their busy lives, two days without contact meant nothing under normal circumstances. But this was different. His explosive rant was out of character which, in itself, emphasized the seriousness of the rift between them. His emotional outburst had left her speechless. She’d wanted to reach out to him but felt at a loss as to how to approach him. Two days of soul searching hadn’t provided her with any answers. He accused me of ignoring his feelings—and I did.
