Chapter2

The car finally came to a halt, and one of the men led me into the castle. He finally stopped at a particular door but just then a sweet scent of berries hit my nostrils, and I wondered what that was. I tried to ignore it, since I wasn't really in my right state of mind at the moment. He knocked at the door. "Come in," I heard a deep voice speak from inside the room, and I sighed softly, as I slowly tried to wipe off the tears in my cheeks. Once we finally got into the bedroom, just then the scent I was perceiving came even more. I looked ahead of me just then I saw a man seated on a sofa and his glance was fixed on me. He was tall with his dark hair tousled and his piercing blue eyes captivating. His small lips, and pointed nose, stood out, making him look even more handsome than ever. I was totally checking him out when I felt my wolf jump in excitement inside of me. "He is our mate." I could tell she was delirious with excitement, but I'm just not into that honestly. But how can it be, I was rejected by my first mate, a few months ago. "Alpha here is your bride." The man said, bowing his head in the process, while I just kept calm, still trying to figure out what was happening to me today. "Go to him," the man whispered to me, and I slowly started moving closer to him, like a puppy going to his mother, and just then I realised the scent was coming from him. Was he really my mate? Was I given a second chance mate? These questions popped into my head, as I finally stopped in front of him. ALPHA ADRIAN'S POV I gasped immediately and I smelled my mate's present around my room. For seven years now, I have been searching for my mate, since I was told by a warlock that I had a second chance mate. And because of that, I had to increase the way I attack different Packs hoping I was going to find her in the process. But after seven whole years, I still didn't find her anywhere, so I had to give up on the search, as I felt the warlocks were wrong and the Moon goddess never really gave me a second chance mate. Though I'm not really that loving person, that would want a mate that he would love, and make her his weakness. In Fact if I have found my mate, I won't even have shown any atoms of love towards her. She was only going to be there, as my Luna, and a mate to my wolf, without any emotions attached. It's actually just my wolf that claims to need his mate's bond, because to me I was already so strong and feared by so many. So having a mate doesn't really change anything. But I also know my Pack needs a Luna. So that was why I had sent out someone to search for a more suitable lady to fit into the position of Luna. I really don't know how the information got to the Alpha Callan, of the Blu Ray Pack, and he offered me his daughter. Though I really don't know what his daughter looks like, I just had to accept her since she was also royalty, so it would be good enough for my people to know that their Luna is a daughter to another Alpha. I really don't need my mate again, but getting the scent right now, I could feel my wolf in a state of feverish anticipation, as she finally stopped closer to me. "Who's she?" I asked Drake, my good friend, and also my Beta. "She is Alpha Callan daughter, from the Blu Ray Pack, that you sent us to get." Drake responded to my question, while I just stared at her. She was really pretty no doubt, so I guess I was lucky since she was the arrange bride, and also my mate. "Alpha, you don't like her?" Drake asked me, when he noticed my glance fixed on her. NAYA'S POV He continued staring at me, as my mouth fell open. "We.. are fated mates.." I stuttered on my words, as I stared straight at him while he also did the same, without saying anything. "Alpha, is she your mate?" I heard the man ask him, as I tried to stop myself from releasing further tears as I was feeling even more depressed discovering he was my fated mate. "Yes, I never thought I had second mate until today, so I guess it's really good she is already my bride, and that means she would really be useful around here." He spoke coldly, as he finally broke the eye contact we have been having, and took up a glass of wine in front of him. "Wow, that's really a good coincidence." The man smiled, and he totally agreed with him. "Go and attend to other things, and make sure her room is prepared." I heard him say to the man, who nodded immediately before making his way out of the bedroom. "This is really a coincidence mate," he smirked evilly, while I tried not to look at him. "Come and have a drink with me." He offered, but I just kept calm and remained rooted at the spot I have been standing. Is all of this not just too much for me to bear? "Why are you still standing there?" He asked with his deep voice, which was more like he was yelling, And somehow I was frightened, and slowly started moving closer to the sofa where he was sitting. "Have some wine." He said calmly this time, and poured out some into the empty glass on the table, and stretched it out to me. I took it reluctantly, as I really wasn't in the mood to have any drink. I tried to force myself into taking a sip from the glass, but just then the man who had brought me here walked in again. "Alpha, her bedroom is ready." He announced, and I quickly held firmly to the glass hoping he would ask him to take me to my room, because I really don't want to stay in the same room with him anymore. He is just too cold, and honestly I'm just so frustrated around him. Laura had also told me a lot about him and that even increased my fears. "Okay, you can take her to the bedroom, but hope it is next to mine?" He asked him, and the man kept calm for a while. "Not really, the bedroom I prepared is opposite yours." The man answered, and he frowned immediately. "If you didn't know which bedroom to prepare, you would have asked me, but nevertheless, you can take her there since she had been standing here for so long." Alpha Adrian told him, and the man nodded immediately, and thanked him, before turning to me. "Come with me ma'am." He said, and turned around, and started walking out of the bedroom, without thinking twice I followed behind him, after dropping the glass still filled with wine that he had given me earlier. I followed behind the man who brought me to another door, just opposite Alpha Adrian room. "This will be your bedroom from now onwards ma'am." He said, and handed over a key to me, which I took. He also tried to leave, but I stopped him before he could do that, blocking his way in the process. "Where are my bags?" I finally asked him, even though I knew that was like the least of my problems right now. "It will be brought in shortly." He responded to my question, before I finally gave way, and he walked away, while I breathed out, before grabbing hold of the doorknob, and walking fully into the room and shutting the door behind me. Honestly I really don't know how my life is going to be here in this house, but I really hope it won't be that bad, even though it was quite obvious to me that I was going to go through hell here. I was actually hoping my mate would one day realise he needed me and come here to get my back, since my parents told me about the fact that I was sold off. Laura also encouraged me to be strong, hoping that my mate might definitely find me here. Though I didn't tell her that I was rejected by my first mate back in my aunt's Pack, so I still keep hoping. But now that's never going to happen again, because I just found my second chance mate now, and that means I'm stuck here forever. My doom is my second chance mate? These words echoed in my head, and immediately tears welled up in my eyes. I don't think there will ever be any escape for me, or would there be any? This question popped into my head as I sat on the bed, and just then I finally let down my tears. What more does life have in store for me now? How am I going to face this reality? Or should I consider fleeing?
