When Legless first arrived on Earth, he hid in a cave by a small Scottish village and remained there, secretly servicing unhappy women. It wasn’t hard; he came out in the early mornings when men were at work and women were hanging out their washing. Sneaking up behind a woman to “service,” as he put it, was easy back then. It was 1950, and women on the whole had little experience of a good service—at least the ones he met. In fact, many took to washing on a grand scale, changing beds daily, despite the rain—most were not sure why. He stayed in the cave until discovered by a religious camper who mistook him for a spiritual apparition.
