Chapter 4

It was 12 o'clock at night. I sat at my windowsill, trying to catch a glimpse of movement from inside the i***t's room. We had school tomorrow. He could not still be awake, could he? With wrinkled eyebrows, I looked down at myself. I had gone into spy mode, and was totally dressed in black, tight clothes. I even wore a hat that covers my face.  #crimerider In my hand I clutched the murder weapon - a thick, black, permanent marker. Okay, no, I wasn't going to kill Chris. But after he found out what I had done, he could probably easily decide to kill me with the permanent marker. With my heart beating all the way up my throat, I opened my window just as quietly, and slipped in by his window, which thankfully was open. As I set foot in his room, my legs immediately began to shake. I didn't even know if he was violent. Would he perhaps assault me if he woke up with me in his room? It was not good to know. I went through all my karate grips in my head, remembering he had my humiliations on video. He deserved this. Chris Hall lay in his bed with the duvet clasped between his hands, sleeping like a stone. His hair was messy, and spread all over the pillow, and his mouth was half open, with a small drop of saliva hanging out. Charming. I took mouse steps over to his bed, lifted the lid of the permanent marker, and let my creative side unfold. After 5 minutes of time, I declared my artwork finished. Chris now had an incredibly beautiful beard, monobrows, hearts and doodles in his beautiful face. In his forehead I had written "I love Emily" in large block letters, and framed it in a heart. I sighed satisfied and tried to hide the laughter that threatened to bubble over. He would get so mad, but it would be worth it all. Silently, I crawled through the windows and lay down to sleep with a vicious smile on my face. Good thing I remembered to close my window. ****** ****** When I arrived at the school, I kept looking over my shoulder. I was paranoid, thinking every moment that Chris would attack me, like a hungry animal after its prey. I quickly found the girls, and started whispering it all to them. Chris still hadn't shown up. He was probably busy washing his face with soap. Muhaha. "Wait a minute, are you saying Chris Hall is your neighbor?!" Anna exclaimed with wide eyes. "Yes, but it's not something I wanted," I explained to the girls. After telling them it all, Sara broke out in laughter. "Wow, you're totally f****d," she concluded. "Yes, thank you, I know that, but he deserved it, and now it's too late," I hissed softly. "I need you to keep an eye on him," I said, and the girls nodded understandably. "A whistle means he's here" My blood ran cold when I heard a whistle behind me. I turned around slowly, prepared for the worst, but breathed a sigh of relief when I found out it was just a boy who had whistled of Donna's choice of clothes. If you could call it clothing at all. With booty shorts, crop top, stilettos and a flirtatious smile on her face, she rolled past the drooling boys group, and headed over to her minions. It was like "mean girls" in real life. I straightened a tot of hair behind the ear, and turned to the girls again. "Oh boy. And just like I thought Donna's shorts couldn't get much shorter. I was wrong," Kathy exclaimed sarcastically. "Donna was in our group once," Sara explained. "Of course before she was snobbed. But one day we found out that she had secretly been in bed with Justin, my then boyfriend, and from that day on, she was ostracized. She started hanging out with the wrong people, and now she's the most snobby cow we've ever met, "she concluded angrily. My hatred for Donna was just magnified. How could she do such a thing? And even against her best friends? "If I ever were to spill ink from my pen, I'll make sure that it would be on her, " I assured them. Then the bell rang and class began. Still without Chris. **** While we were sitting in the canteen and I had started eating my delicious tuna sandwich, I was suddenly disturbed by the three boys coming up to our table. They did not seem familiar, but I had an idea that they probably went to the same class as me. I reluctantly put my tuna sandwich down, and looked questioningly up at them with a raised eyebrow. "Hi?", I said to them. "Emily, right?" Asked one of them. He had blond hair styled to perfection, and sparkling green eyes. "We know what you're done and believe me. Chris is not happy," he said seriously. I sank nervously. What if they had come to take me to him? Maybe even kidnap me? "He got what he deserved," I said simply, shrugging. "What do you mean?" Asked another of the boys. He had light brown, messy hair in the good way and sea blue eyes. "Let's say he has a slightly ... Unfortunate video of me," I replied, taking a bite of my sandwich. It was too tempting to let go. "That was my revenge." "He's coming soon. If you don't wanna suffer, I suggest you hide," said the third boy. He was a little lower than the other 2, but looked at least as good. With his styled, dark brown hair and brown chocolate eyes, he added smiling: "Besides that, so cool made. You have balls, girl." He stuck me a high five which I returned and the other 2 did the same. "My name is Benjamin, but I'm just called Ben. That's Patrick and the little one there is called Philip," said the blonde-haired man, who immediately received a teasing blow to the arm from Philip.  Did I mention they were all really hot and muscular? What was up with hot guys and my class? "Emily Scott," I replied, taking another bite. "Seriously remember to hide. Chris is on the warpath," they reminded me before going to their own table, at the other end of the room. I turned to the girls who had been strangely quiet throughout the conversation. Anna and Sara sat and looked dreamily at the group, while Kathy was started eating her pastas. "Chris Hall is your neighbor, and his hot three friends now know your name," Anna muttered. "Girl, you're damn lucky." I was just laughing. They have no idea. Just as I was about to take the final bite of my sandwich, I froze. 3 panicked whistle had been heard and I knew that a very furious boy named Chris Hall had just entered the cafeteria. And I was going out in a hurry.
