Ellie’s POV
“Come on Ellie all you do is work, eat and sleep, there is more to life than that. Like coming out drinking with us,” Margaret says with a playful tone.
“I’m tired Margaret,” I say hoping she will give up.
“Of course you are, your schedule is crazy. But that isn’t an excuse for neglecting yourself or your friends.”
I sigh out. “Don’t guilt trip me Margaret. You know going out is hard for me.”
There is silence over the line and I think she finally gave up, but then she sighs and says, “Look, I get you, I really do, but you said living with Avery wasn’t healthy anymore. How is working yourself to death and ignoring everything else helping making you healthy?….happy?”
