Frink Park

Alyra entered Frink Park and started looking for a den, but had no luck. She told ChiChi I guess we will sleep under this tiny bridge, it has a lot of heavy foliage covering both passages. Should keep the wind off us, and at least we will be sleeping on grass and rock than just pure rock. ChiChi wasn't happy about the ideal, but they had no other option it was getting to dark to continue on.

Alyra told ChiChi tomorrow I'll built a shelter for us in the forest, and that will be our den. ChiChi perked up with a big smile.

Alyra settle down for the night under the bridge, and fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning the sun shined bright, and Alyra felt the warmth on her small face. She told ChiChi "we should get started on that shelter, after we eat our can of beans". ChiChi just yawned at the notion of getting up, she wanted to sleep more.

Alyra roamed the park for a nice place to make a den, after an hour of going deeper in the woods she found a spot of thick tall grass and plenty of trees, so If a human did trek that way they wouldn't see them.

She found some big falling tree branches and started to build an A frame shelter, after she made the frame part of the shelter, she started looking around for some moss to cover her shelter for insulation against the wind. It took Alyra an hour and a half to complete the shelter, but it was perfect, and very hidden from prying eyes.

She relaxed most of the day bathing in the sun, and walking the trails. Saying "hi to the rare hiker that passed by her". ChiChi asked Alyra "what is wrong?" Alyra replied "that she is lonely, since spending a yrs and 3 months around humans she just misses it". ChiChi said "you always have me". Alyra smiled.

Alyra and ChiChi went back to there den to sleep for the night. Alyra awoke from a human screaming for help, and it was a female human. Alyra ran out of her den in her pajamas to see what was going on. She seen this older man, tall, and skinny running after her, Alyra could smell her fear, so she ran after them. With lightning speed she finally caught up to the man, but he had already slit the woman's throat.

Alyra jumped on top of him from behind, the man tried attacking Alyra with the knife, but Alyra knocked the knife out of his hand. He tried punching Alyra in the face, but Alyra was too fast for him.

Finally the guy said "what are you?" Alyra said "none of your business". While still struggling with Alyra hold on him. Alyra asked him "why did he kill that woman". The man replied " its my job". Alyra looked confused and said "what do you mean its your job?" with a low growl.

The man said" I kill people for a living, its called contract killing". Alyra said "I never heard of that in the human world". The man said" its not a job that is known to the public its a secret job, but it pays a s**t load of money". Alyra asked "how can someone be this contract killer thing?" The man said "with your talents not hard, my boss Max would probably take you in, and show you the ropes". Alyra asked her finally question before deciding to go with the man, "what did she do to deserve a death sentence by you?"

The man choose his words wisely before he said anything "She stoled money and items from an important client of mine, since I couldn't recover the items or the money, he wanted her dead". Alyra knew he was telling the truth, because she can detect if a human is lying.

ChiChi told Alyra in the back of her head "what are you doing?" Alyra told her "we have no more money left and no food in this area, if I can learn how to be a contract killer then we won't have to worry, and we can get to Tahoe faster plus get to the Moon Claw Pack". ChiChi said "okay".

Alyra asked the man "what do we do now?" Help me with her first then I will take you to Max. Alyra pick up the girls body with no problem, and put her where the man told her. After he instructed Alyra too stay away from the body while he staged the scene.

After the man finished he said "come with me". Alyra said" wait follow me for a minute", she brought the man back to her den to collect her things, and collapsed shelter. The man said "come kid I don't have all night".

Alyra followed him out of Frink Park and got in his car. During the drive Alyra asked him "what is your name?" The man said " Sam, and you?" My name is Alyra. He drove us back into the city to 1311 on 12th Avenue street to a place called Harwood Condominium homes, we passed through a big fancy black gate to this huge third house on the right.

Sam stopped the car and I got out. Sam said "follow me and shut up no matter what happens, or being said, and keep your head down". Alyra agreed.

Sam walked up to this other man stationed at the door, and asked to speak to Max. The man at the door went into another room, for about 5 minutes me and Sam stood there. An old man came out of the room in fancy clothing and a cigar in his mouth. he asked Sam " Is it done?" Sam replied "yes with a little help", and Sam stepped aside me.

Max said "Sam we don't bring strays home", forcefully. Sam said to max "She may look like a little girl but she kicked my ass while doing the job". Max looked at Alyra and back at Sam with a smirk, and said "are you pulling my leg, look how small she is, and she is not even pass 8yrs old by the looks of her". Alyra was about to say something when Sam shook his head at her.

Sam said to Max "Fine if you don't believe get someone to attack her, and you will see". Max kept staring at Sam, and said "okay".

Max called for Caleb to come in the room, when Caleb arrived Max went over to him and whispered in his ear to kill the little girl. What Max didn't realize Alyra could hear him.

Alyra said to Max "I can hear you, you told Caleb to kill me, but I will tell you now if he tries to hurt me it will end bad for him". Max was stunned, and looked at Sam. Then Max said " how did you hear me say that to Caleb?" Alyra said "I have great hearing, besides many other talents".

Max said out loud Caleb work her and see what she is made of. Caleb stepped forward and Alyra got ready for a fight, she sparked her alpha and with the first punch to Caleb face she sent him flying and knocked him out". Max mouth dropped open, and he lost his cigar.

Max said "this is f*****g unbelievable". Max asked her "what are you here for anyway?" Alyra replied "I want you to teach everything there is to know to be a contract killer, since obviously I beat your best man over there on the floor, plus Sam ass also".

Max said "I like her", to Sam. Sam replied "I told you". Max cleared his throat and said "follow me". Alyra followed him back into the big room he came out of. He closed the door behind Alyra and told her to sit in the chair, and he sat to the chair next to her.

Max asked her" how old she is? What's her name?and do you have family?" Alyra said " I am 10 yrs old, my name is Alyra, and for family I have been on my own since I was 5 yrs old". Well then at least that is out of the way.

Max called for Sam to come in. Sam walked in and said "yes boss". Sam show Alyra to her new room, and get her something to eat from the kitchen she looks like she is starving.

Before leaving she told Max "thank you for the opportunity I will not disappoint you". Max just smirked funny while shaking his head, and walk to his desk.

Sam grabbed her pack sack and showed Alyra her room, and asked her "what did she want to eat?" Alyra said" anything good", Sam laughed and said "okay".

After eating she fell asleep in her bed, but only to be tested by Max once more. One of Max thugs tried to hurt her, but Alyra grabbed his arm and broke it , plus kicked him off the bed with his feet flying over his head.

Max came in and said "you definitely have talents Alyra, I think that should be sufficient for now. I need to keep some of my men alive." Alyra nodded at Max.

Max told Dave "to help steve up and get the doctor to check his arm out". Dave said "yes boss". Max said to Alyra "I will see you tomorrow morning for your first lesson", and he closed the door to her room.

Alyra finally got to sleep in peace.
