Alyra ran towards Caleb door. She was knocking on his door like a mad woman, Caleb jumped up from his bed and answered the door. He saw Alyra with tears coming down her face and sobbing, he asked "what is wrong Alyra?" while holding her and bringing her into his room.

Alyra was still crying like a water fountain, Caleb grabbed her by the waist and pulled Alyra to his lap while sitting on his bed. Telling her "its okay Alyra just tell me what is wrong?"

Alyra finally calmed down enough to tell Caleb something is wrong with Mama while looking in his dark blue eyes. Caleb softly kissed her lips and told her "we will go see if Mama is in her room, and if we can't find her we will ask Max where she is". He wiped her tears from her face with his fingers, and gave her another soft, gentle kiss on her lips while holding her close to his body.

Alyra relaxed in Caleb strong arms and rest her head on his chest while Caleb kissed her head.

Caleb said to Alyra "let me get out of my boxer shorts and change into sweatpants with a white t-shirt, and we will go to Mama's room". Alyra let Caleb go and got off his lap, Caleb got his clothes from a drawer, and went into his bathroom to change.

Alyra sat down on Caleb's bed waiting for him. Caleb came out of his bathroom changed and hold out his left hand for Alyra to take. Caleb helped Alyra out of his bed and said "come on sweetheart".

They left his room and went to the third floor towards Mama's room. Caleb knocked on Mama's door, and he heard a weak voice saying "come in". Caleb open the door and looked into Mama's room, and noticed medical equipment attached to Mama all around her bed.

Alyra rushed in and said "Mama what is wrong?" Mama struggled to look at Alyra and said "I'll be fine little one", but Alyra knew better, her wolf senses told her Mama was dying.

Caleb pulled a chair next to her bed and said "how do you feel Mama?" Mama said "could be worse toad stool". Caleb smirk a bit at her comment with a smile afterwards.

Alyra climbed into Mama's bed and rested her body near Mama. She held Mama and said "I'll take care of you now, don't worry". Mama smiled at Alyra.

Alyra fell asleep beside Mama. Mama looked at Caleb and said "I know you love her, promise me you will take her away from here, and make a life for the both of you with some kids".

Caleb told Mama "I plan on too, but the timing is wrong right now. I would die for her Mama" while placing a hand on her arm. Mama said to Caleb "I know Caleb, but when it is time don't hesitate, and take her away from here". Caleb told Mama "I promise you I will".

Mama said to Caleb " you make an old lady last dying wish come true". Mama held Alyra as tight as she could, and kissed Alyra's head while saying "my little angel" before she fell back to sleep.

Caleb unwrapped Alyra from Mama and carried her back to his room, and placed her on his bed as gentle as he could without waking her up. He pulled the covers over her, and went to sit on his couch near the fireplace in his room, and stared at the fire burning with thoughts swirling in his mind.

Sam woke up and went to see if Caleb was up. Sam knocked on Caleb door. Caleb answered and told Sam to be very quiet, while showing Sam that Alyra was sleeping in his bed.

Sam walked in and closed the door behind him. Sam joined Caleb on the couch and said "what is going on between Alyra and you?" Caleb told Sam "I fell in love Sam, and I know its forbidden but I need her". Sam said "I knew for a while now, I just needed to hear it from you. What are you planning on doing?" Caleb said "When the time is right I'm taking her away from here and settling down with her".

Caleb told Sam that Mama is dying. Sam told Caleb he knew over a year now about her illness. Caleb said "what is wrong with her?" Sam told Caleb "she has a slow killing cancer". Caleb said "s**t" and continued to look at the flames in the fireplace.

Sam said to Caleb "does Alyra know about Mama?" Caleb said "we just came from her room, all Alyra knows she is sick". Sam said "are you going to tell her?" Caleb said "I will when she wake's up".

The guys continue talking for about another 2 hours when Alyra suddenly start shifting in Caleb's bed, and they turn there attention to Alyra. Caleb looks at Alyra and says "have a good sleep sweetheart?" Alyra noticed Sam in the room, and her eyes got really wide and big she didn't know what to say to Caleb. Caleb said "its okay darling Sam knows about us".

Alyra relaxed and sat down on the couch between them while resting her head on Caleb's shoulder. She told the guys "Mama is dying I can feel it". Caleb and Sam said "is that a wolf thing". Alyra said "yes", Caleb said "yes Mama is dying baby, she has cancer".

Alyra looked at Caleb and said "are you hungry, because I am?" Caleb looked at Alyra and said "you want some take-out while kissing her forehead". Alyra said "are we allowed to cook in the kitchen?" Caleb and Sam looked at Alyra and said "yes". Alyra said "I will cook something for everyone". Caleb said "are you able to cook for everyone?" Alyra said "sure can, May taught me how to cook".

Caleb said "who is May?" Alyra said "I will tell you everything later about Ed and May Atwater. Right now I'm going to the kitchen and start cooking, okay". Caleb and Sam said "we will join you". They left Caleb's room and headed for the kitchen.

Alyra cooked the guys and Max homemade shepherd's pie. Caleb and Sam set the table for her. Alex, G-Man, and Dave came into the kitchen and asked where was Mama? Sam explained Mama is sick and Alyra cooked them supper.

Alyra placed the shepherd's pie in the middle of the table with bread on the side. She made a plate for Max, and brought it to his office with a cup of coffee.

Max said to Alyra "by the looks of it you know about Mama", Alyra told Max "yes and I will help out making meals for everyone". Max said "I hired another cook but he won't be here until next week", Alyra said "its okay I can handle the cooking until the new chief shows up". Max smiles at Alyra and says "okay" and thanked her for the meal.

Alyra went back to the kitchen and sat down with the guys at the table. She grabbed her plate and placed a piece of shepherd's pie on it, and asked Caleb to pass her a piece of bread which he handed her some bread.

Seth said " where is Mama?" Sam told Seth "Mama is sick so Alyra is cooking in her place, which is really good by the way Alyra". Seth said "she probably poison the food". Alyra looked at Seth and said "maybe your food. Look Seth I am sick of fighting with you, so lets call a truce for now please".

Seth looked at Alyra and said "you most likely talked s**t about me to Max didn't you?" Alyra said "No..I told Max the truth and tried defending you Seth, believe it or not. You are the closest family I have even though you hate me Seth and G-Man. I would do anything to help and keep you safe. Even though sometimes you don't deserve it".

All the guys went quiet in the room and continued eating. After supper Alyra cleaned up the kitchen, and took the plate she saved for Mama and placed it on a tray with a glass of water and a cup of tea. Max walked in with his dirty plate and cup. Alyra placed his dishes in the dishwasher while Max said "you are a good cook little one" and left the kitchen.

Alyra headed for Mama's room with her tray, she knocked on the door and said "its me Mama". Mama said in a low voice "come in my little angel". Alyra helped Mama to sit up then she placed the tray on her legs, and said "try some of my cooking".

Mama looked at Alyra and said "you can cook?" Alyra nodded her head yes. Mama tried a bite and said "this is heavenly, and thank Alyra for the food". Alyra smiled at Mama and gave her a kiss on her forehead, and said she will be back later to collect the tray, she put Mama's TV on for her, and handed her the remote. Alyra closed the door when she left.

Alyra went back downstairs and watched TV in the game room while the guys played pool. Alyra fell asleep watching a program, after an hour Caleb woke her up and said "I imagine Mama is done eating", Alyra wiped her eyes and got up while making her way to Mama's room.

Alyra placed Mama's tray to the side and fixed up Mama for the night, she gave Mama a kiss goodnight on her forehead and said "see you tomorrow morning Mama". Mama smiled and said "goodnight my little angel".

Caleb, and Sam watched Alyra interact with Mama and remembered what she said at supper time to them.

Everyone headed for their rooms for the night, while Alyra headed for Caleb's room and knocked on his door. Caleb answered and ask Alyra "are you okay?" Alyra said "yes" and entered his room. Caleb closed the door.

Alyra turned to Caleb on her tip toes and placed her 2 hands on Caleb's face, and softly planted a passionate kiss on his soft lips. Caleb grabbed her waist and pressed her close to his body. He eventually picked her up and placed her on the bed gently, and he leaned on top of her. Alyra continued to kiss his hot wet lips and told him " I like you very much, and I think of you often". Caleb smiles at her.

Caleb says "do you now?" Alyra smiles at him while Caleb is mesmorized by the passion in her baby blue eyes looking at him. Caleb said "I love you sweetheart" and places a deep passionate kiss on her beautiful soft pink lips. When he stopped kissing her, he rolls over pulling her to his side, and Alyra rest her head on his chest.

After cuddling for an hour Alyra fell asleep. Caleb wiggles himself free from her, he picks her up, and carries her back to her room.

Caleb open her door with great difficulty, but manages to open it and gently place her in bed. He grabs a small piece of her hair and pulls it away from her face, he kisses her goodnight on her forehead while saying "I will see you tomorrow my love". Caleb leaves her room and close the door behind him.
