The air was crisp, and the forest sound so alive more than the Wilmore park it seemed. I stopped near a tree and laid down in my wolf form, and took a little break.
ChiChi seemed content by her usual cooing in my head, but I on the other hand wasn't feeling so good. So I decided to take a nap to see if that would help.
After a 20 minute nap something woke me up, I heard sounds from a distance, which is to far for me to be detected, but it stirred my curiosity.
Me and ChiChi went to see from a distance what it was. We saw a pack of wolves chasing some sort of deer like animal pack. The wolf pack came from different angles towards the deers trying to separate them from their own pack.
ChiChi said to Alyra "These wolves are not werewolves like us, they are just plain wolves". Alyra asked ChiChi "What do you mean they are not like us?" ChiChi explains "these wolves don't turn into humans, and they communicate by howls not by mind links". Alyra told Chichi " that she understand what she means now".
Alyra was still amazed how the wolves worked as a team, but noticed when the killing was all over the Alpha of the wolf pack was aggressive towards the others, and wouldn't let them eat until he had his fill.
Which she found it total not right since they helped the Alpha get the food. ChiChi replied to her "that is how it works here in the wild, they are more animals than we are Alyra".
ChiChi told Alyra "we have to leave this area, its most likely their hunting grounds, and territory. All we need is to get into a fight with these wolves, and land up on their next meal plan".
So ChiChi and Alyra continued farther into the provincial park. Something was still wrong with Alyra. Alyra told ChiChi "we need to rest, and that she doesn't feel good at all". ChiChi asked her "what is wrong?" But before she could answer ChiChi, Alyra dropped to the ground and was out like a light.
ChiChi took over Alyra body, and changed not into her usual wolf form, but the mystical wolf instead. ChiChi called for Asher in the spirit world to help, after 10 minutes ChiChi finally got through to Asher in the spirit world. ChiChi was whining and crying when Asher was running towards them.
Asher asked ChiChi "what happened?" ChiChi answered " I don't know, Alyra was complaining that she wasn't feeling well since we enter Mt Robson provincial park".
Asher called out to the healing spirits to come quickly in the spirit world, and in a flash they appeared. Asher told "ChiChi to turn back into her human form", and ChiChi complied.
ChiChi explained to Asher that they had run out of food, and we just had water to drink, and that we only hunted rabbits to eat plus fish.
Asher told "ChiChi " to sleep while he figures out what happen to Alyra with the healers". ChiChi put herself into a coma like state as requested by Asher.
Asher and the healers look at every possibility that would make Alyra sick, right down to the food, water, and other possible sickness. Come to find out Alyra was underweight, dehydrated which lead to her collapse.
Asher thanked the healers, and held his little one in his arms for about 30 minutes, and Alyra started to come back, she slowly opened her beautiful baby blue eyes, when Asher pushed aside her long beautiful dark brown hair to have a good look at her.
Alyra said " Asher is that you?" and Asher replied "yes it is my little one". Alyra asked Asher "how did I get to the spirit world?" Asher explains "ChiChi can change her wolf into the mystical wolf, and bring you here". "Also ChiChi will be very happy to know you are alright, she is in slumber for now, so we could focus on getting you better".
Alyra still in Asher arms decided to hug him tight as she can, and Asher was just relieved that his little one is safe. Asher gave her a little growl and said "I told you to rest more and conserve your energy, and now I am adding more to this. You need to eat more then you have been eating plus drink a lot more water during the long hard hikes".
"The reason you dropped and wasn't feeling well, was due to your lack of attention to eating more and drinking lots of water".
Alyra buried her face into his chest with little tears forming in her eyes. Asher put his hand under her chin and brings her face up so she could see his. Asher tells Alyra "I hate seeing you cry, and I know it has been rough for you, but the instructions I give you is not to be ignored. Its for your safety little one". "You pushed your little human body to far, and its not like your wolf body, so you need to slow down more in your journey".
Alyra promised Asher she will take more time to rest, eat, and drink more. Asher also stated "the provincial park as plenty of food, and water sources for you. That's why I chose those particular places for you and ChiChi, take make sure you have plenty of food and water always on hand, okay". Alyra nods at Asher.
Asher holds her for another 10 minutes then gives her a kiss on her forehead, and tells her "he is very proud of his little one, and he hates to leave her go, but he must". Asher puts Alyra back down on the ground, and walks away towards the distance. Alyra waits until he disappears then leaves the spirit world.
Alyra wakes up ChiChi in low growl state. ChiChi said "I was finally getting a really good sleep". Alyra told ChiChi " no time for sleep we need to find some food, and fill our water bottles up, and then we can sleep as much as you want". ChiChi said "you got a deal."
We wondered around the park for rabbits, squirrels, fish, and attempt at killing bigger game like a deer. After our grueling hunt we had 10 rabbits, 6 squirrels, and 20 fish. Which isn't bad for our first hunt in this area. We proceeded to find a good place to settle down in for the night.
After hiking a couple of hours we found a place to rest and eat our kills.
Darkness came and down in a valley we say this light. ChiChi said "humans, and don't worry they can't see us here". So I laid my head back down and closed my eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.
I was up when the sun hit my face, and I noticed so was the humans. I decided to get a little closer to them. I stayed in my wolf form and got closer to them. A young girl spotted me in the tall grass, and told the other humans present "do you see that?"
A male human told them not to get to close to the wildlife in the park, but I was still curious so I got in closer, until I was right into their campsite.
I laid down in front of them, and wondered what there reactions would be. They seemed scared, but yet curious also.
The younger woman asked "me if I was hungry?" I just stood their waiting to see what would happen. The young woman threw me a big piece of steak, and I took it.
The young woman wanted to touch me, so I crawled closer to her and let her run her fingers through my wolfs hair. She was so surprised my hair was soft, and flow nicely in the wind. She also recognized the half crescent moon symbol on my forehead, and thought it was cute. They took a picture of me and the young lady, then we parted ways.
I went back to my temporary home, and laid back down for some more rest.
After a good couple of hours rest, me and ChiChi decided to go hunting for some bigger game. We finally found an area where there was a pack of deers grazing in the field.
We both decided we would have to go after the weakest ones in the pack to actually get one, so we decided to target the smaller ones, and the ones that are hurt instead of going for the bigger ones.
ChiChi crouched down in the tall grass and creeped closer to our first kill. ChiChi masked her scent before attacking the deer. ChiChi waited for the perfect time and lounged at the deer, but missed due to the deer kicked her in the face. I told ChiChi "brush it off", she just growl with her deep voice.
We caught up to the deer again, and cut off the most injured one, and lounged at the deer's throat, and with one massive crunch of ChiChi wolf teeth gave an instant kill.
ChiChi dragged the deer back to our den, and supper was ready. After supper I went back to sleep. Just after night fell we heard these voices and weird sounds bouncing of the mountains. ChiChi said " hunters".
We knew the hunters were far enough away from us, so we dismissed the sounds and fell back to sleep.
