Staging A Crime Scene

Alyra woke up bright eyed and bushy tail meaning she woke up with a rat nest of a hair, but feeling really accomplished of all her hard work for the last 3 years with the Reapers. Today she will be training with Alex for an unknown purpose but she will soon find out.

She jumped out of bed and headed for the kitchen while humming one of her favorite songs (kiss the girl).

Alyra entered the kitchen and said "good morning Mama", Mama replied "good day little one, and how did we sleep last night?" Alyra said "great" and took her seat near Caleb and Sam.

Alex elbowed her and said "ready for the science part of being a contract killer?" Alyra said "bring it on". Caleb and Sam noticed Alyra was in a great mood. However Seth and G-Man just think the guys spoil her too much. Dave on the other hand decided he wants to know Alyra better instead of his first impression of her in the past, which he thought Alyra was too dangerous to be around or to be trained at all.

Caleb and Sam asked Alyra "when Alex is through with you for the day meet us in the game room, and we will show you how to play pool". Alyra said "sure".

After breakfast Alyra followed Alex to the basement to a door labeled "Lab". When they entered the lab Alex got Alyra to sit down while he explains what he will be teaching her.

Alex asked Alyra "do you know anything about staging a crime scene?" Alyra shook her head no. Alex said "good then you will be listening very carefully what I am teaching, because this part will show you how not to get caught by police after you did a job".

Alex starts explaining. "Staging is when someone who’s committed a crime attempts to make the scene look like something that it isn’t. The most common staging scenario occurs when someone tries to make a murder look like a suicide or an accident. The person may move the body or clean certain areas".

"Say, for example, a husband strikes his wife in the head with a blunt object, killing her. Then he cleans up the bedroom, moves her body into the bathroom, places her in the tub, and calls the paramedics, claiming that she fell while bathing".

"A person sets a fire to cover up another crime like a murder. The person hopes that the fire, which becomes a staged crime scene, destroys evidence of the underlying crime".

"This involves altering the scene to try to disguise what really happened".

"Removing bloodstains with a cleanser like bleach is also not uncommon. However, invisible traces often remain which can be subjected to forensic analysis. The chemical in this bottle will eliminate any trace of blood at a scene, not even the forensic team can find a trace of blood with luminol spray".

"Now this little gadget is in case you get shot, you put this end right into the wound and push the trigger back until you see white foam covering the wound. It stops the bleeding right away so you don't leave any blood from you at the scene. Oh..and Alyra it does hurt just as much as getting shot".

"At any time do not ever leave any of this stuff at a job scene, always bring it back with you and another thing if Sam hasn't told you yet. We always retrieve our bullets and casings. So if you shoot someone with your M9 handguns these handy small and long looking forceps can help you dig out your bullets out of bodies or unless its a through and through scenario. Don't worry we will practice on pigs when it is time. Another thing we have are specialize gloves for you to where so your fingerprints will not be left at a scene or on a body if you move it".

"Staging a burglary on top of a murder is a common form of crime scene staging; the person may break a lock or a window, turn over drawers, and remove valuable items".

"Should you leave trace evidence from your own body or clothing at the site, with no evidence present from another person, then the story will be called into question. So be very careful of yourself while doing a job".

"It takes a particular type of person to set up a successful staging. Crimes of passion often involve excessive violence, like multiple stabbings or gunshots. Where a contract killer will shot the person in between the eyes at close range. For a sniper, hitting at a greater distance some will shot multiple targets before killing the actual target to make the police confused to whom is the actual target. They may also just shoot the actual target in a public area at a great distance. Always have different scenarios to play out".

"Now that we talked about scenarios and what we use to clean up blood, your clothing, if you get shot, and hair etc... Lets try some scenarios after dinner okay Alyra", Alyra nodded yes.

Alex and Alyra left the lab and headed for the kitchen upstairs, they greeted Mama and waited for dinner to be served.

When Mama put the plate in front of her, Alyra asked Mama "do you kill people also?" Mama replied "I''m the best Reaper here, I feed you rascals and keep you strong, so I don't have to go out and do your job for you", while winking at Alyra with a smile. The guys laughed and began eating.
