The Big Push to Coquihalla Summit Recreation Area Part 2

After she closed the veil she pondered at what Ariel said to Asher, and she decided not to tell ChiChi about it.

ChiChi asked" did everything go fine in the spirit world?" and Alyra said "yes". ChiChi knew something was wrong but she just couldn't put a figure on it.

ChiChi told Alyra "we will rest her for tonight, and catch some fish before we leave tomorrow morning". Alyra replied "yeah it sounds like a good plan". With everything said and done ChiChi and Alyra settle down for the night.

The next morning they catch their fish and head out for the big push to Coquihalla Summit Recreation Area. They trek through rough terrain, Alyra's paws and legs were getting sore so ChiChi told her "she should rest and let her take over for awhile, and find some food". Alyra agreed.

With ChiChi in charge she went through the rough terrain about another 2 hours, and all she found was wild berries. She ate as much berries she could find, and decided to find a place to sleep for the night.

After 4 weeks of hardly eating, and barely drinking Alyra and ChiChi just didn't have the energy to move on. Alyra couldn't even open the veil to the spirit world she had to conserve the energy she has left. Alyra told ChiChi we need to move on and find food quick, or we will starve to death, as long its anything with meat we will be fine. ChiChi nor Alyra even have the energy to chase a prey, so they walked close to the highway and searched for road kill.

After walking a mile down the highway she notice a dead deer on a single stretch of highway, it may have been killed days ago, but they need food.

Alyra mustered her last bit of strength and dive pass a moving metal box thing in mere minutes, she grabbed the deer, and continued to pull the dead carcasses pass traffic in her wolf form, but before she could complete get to the curb she got clipped by the last car coming towards her, she was thrown into the ditch and knocked out.

By the time Alyra woke up it was night time, and she was screaming in pain her leg was completely broken, and the bone was sticking out below her knee cap. She howled and cried all through the night until she passed out again in the ditch.

The next morning she was still in terrible pain, but she had to snap the bone back in place for her leg to heal. She changed into her human form, and grabbed her leg and pushed straight down on the bone snapping it back in place.

She changed back into her wolf form dragging and crawled up to the deer, and dragged it down the ditch. She ate what was good to eat, and she dragged herself a little further up the ditch to drink from a tiny stream of water, and laid back down. She cried herself to sleep or she actually passed out from the pain, ChiChi wasn't certain.

After 4 days in the ditch her broken leg was healed enough to move away from the highway, and back to the rocky terrain.

Alyra dragged and crawled around to find a safe place to stay and sleep. The thought of food never crossed her mind, only the pain from a half healed broken leg.

ChiChi told Alyra "I will take over our body until we reach Coquihalla Summit, and let you rest". Alyra never said anything she just laid down with her eyes closed with small tears coming out of them."

ChiChi knew she had enough strength from the salvage meat they got from the dead deer, but she had to make sure that she rested the broken leg until it was fully healed, and at least have water to drink until she could carry on the journey.

After 10 days of resting and only drinking water that was available to ChiChi, she check her leg to see if it was fully healed and it was. ChiChi told Alyra "its time to go?", but Alyra didn't even answer her.

After a month and three weeks ChiChi made it to Coquihalla Summit Recreation Area. ChiChi told Alyra "we are here?" still nothing from Alyra.
