Day Off

After breakfast Alyra went to the courtyard to the flower garden, she noticed Max was there waiting for her.

Alyra said "hi, Max", and Max said "there you are? I was told you come here often". Alyra says "its quiet and peaceful especially when you can hear the water fall from the fountain". Max just looked at her.

Alyra says "why are you looking for me?" Max replies "I wanted to know how you learned those extra moves?" Alyra said "from TV of course", Max replied "silly me I should have known better", but still wasn't convinced.

Max asked Alyra "what are you going to do with your day off?" Alyra said "not much just explore the woods over there a bit, and relax the rest of the day", and you? Max replies "I'm afraid I have to work little one, but don't wonder too far or I will have to send the guys in the woods to find you". Alyra giggled at Max response.

Max left Alyra in the flower garden and headed back into the mansion.

Alyra stayed about an hour in the garden near the water fountain, and then she decided to enter the edge of the woods. She told ChiChi we need to find a place so when can talk to Asher. ChiChi told Alyra "yes, and happy birthday!". Alyra said "what already!" ChiChi said "you forgot about your birthday again haven't you? Your 12 years old silly pup". ChiChi was giggling in Alyra head.

Alyra replied "I guess I have been so busy with training I never thought of the month we are in, but thanks for the birthday praise". ChiChi says "your welcome pup now lets find you a spot to enter the spirit world".

Unfortunately Alyra sense she was being followed in the woods and watched, so she had no luck entering the spirit world to talk to Asher.

She entered the mansion and went to the kitchen for dinner. She said "hi, Mama", and Mama said "what are you up to today?" Alyra told her "nothing much", and she went to sit at the table with the guys.

She took a seat near Seth, and G-Man. They looked at her with a scared expression. She looked at them and said "does it look like I am going to bite you?" They both shook there heads in a no response. She asked them "why the scared deer looks?" Seth replied "for a little girl your size, and able to take down a fully grown man like you did, speaks volumes".

Alyra knows they don't trust her, and she will be the outcast for awhile. She told Mama "I'm not very hungry and left". Mama slapped Seth and G-Man on the back of their heads and said "look you two dumb idiots she was just being friendly, and gave them another slap". Seth and G-Man shouted out "OUCH" again.

Sam told them "she already feels bad enough for what happen in the ring, she was doing what she was trained, just like the rest of us. So ease off". While shaking his head.

Sam finished eating and asked Mama for a plate to give to Alyra. Mama made a plate for him and said "nice boy, now scram" with a smile on her face. She also gave him a glass a milk for her.

Sam knocked on her bedroom door, he could hear Alyra crying. Sam said "its me can I come in". Alyra wiped her tears with the sleeve of her shirt and opened the door. Sam said "forget them Alyra they are just a bunch of p*****s", and he handed her the plate of food with a glass of milk.

Sam also said "now eat up, you need your strength". Alyra giggled and told Sam "thank you". He said "no problem, see you at supper". Alyra nodded.

Alyra brought her plate and glass back to the kitchen after she finished eating, and said "thanks" to Mama and left.

She found a library filled with books, but she knew she couldn't read them. Alex was around the corner and said "what are you going to read?" Alyra said "nothing, I wish I could but I can't read". Alex looked at her and asked "do you want to learn?" Alyra said "If you have the time I would love to learn". Alex smiled at her and said "I have time, come on lets get an easier book for you to try to read".

Alyra spent 2 hours in the library with Alex before he had to go do some work. Alex said "when you have some time just come and find me", Alyra replied "okay" and thanked him for the help. Alex smiled and left the library.

Alyra decided to take a hot bath and have a nap before supper. She went to her room and entered the bathroom to start her bath. She spent an hour in the bathtub, and got a pair of pajamas on. She climbed into her bed and fell asleep.

Everyone beside Max was in the kitchen, when she showed up with her pink piggy pajamas and bunny slippers.

Caleb told her "well long time no see, but Alyra but her head down". Caleb told her to come to him, and she walked over to him. "Its okay at least I can say I trained you well", with a smile on his face. Alyra looked at him with her baby blue eyes with small tears almost coming out. Caleb hugged her with his good arm, and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Then let her go.

She sat beside Sam and never looked at the rest of the guys. She ate her supper and went back to her room.

Sam was telling Caleb what the guys said to her at dinner time, and how they have been reacting to her presence. Caleb shook his head and called then "bunch of fools".

Alyra never came out of room for the rest of the day, and cried herself to sleep.

Caleb, Sam, Alex, Seth, Dave, and G-Man were in the game room talking about Alyra, and Caleb asked Seth and G-Man" why are you being ass around her?" Seth said "Dave is right she is dangerous, and teaching someone her age to be like us is crazy. She should be in school, and with a family to take care of her".

Caleb, Sam, and Alex can't argue about the school part, but she does have family here which is suppose to be all of us". Sam said "Alyra never had much of a life, she has been living on the streets since she was 5 years old that is what she told me, and that her family didn't want her".

Seth and G-Man didn't want to hear it. Caleb, Sam, and Alex got mad at them. Dave never said a word after what he heard from Sam.

Caleb left the room with Alex and Sam leaving Dave with the others. Everyone settled down for the night and went to bed.
