Ezra It would have been a very simple matter to drive my son to the school field trip, but Alex insisted that we must ride the school bus like the other kids and parents. I was very sensitive to his need to be “normal” and to fit in with his classmates, so I sacrificed my comfort for the day. I wasn’t expecting to spend the two-hour drive with my arm around a woman.
