Lilly's POV
I slowly raised my gaze, seeing Lex holding Sade's wrist. Sade's brown eyes were wide with shock and outrage.
“What the hell are you doing?” Lex snarled, anger flashing in his eyes.
“I’m teaching her a valuable lesson,” Sade spat, her voice laced with venom. “One she’ll never forget.”
Lex shoved her away, his nostrils flaring, his composure teetering on the edge. For a moment, I thought he might lose control right there.
“Someone’s pissed." Asena purred in my mind, her voice tinged with amusement. “I like it. It’s so possessive...”
“Oh, Goddess,” I groaned inwardly. “Not now! Stop being so—”
