Yuna flinched at the sudden sound and Ezekiel tightened his hold on her palm, assuring her gently. He did not speak a word and Yuna understood him. She braced herself as she waited for the intruders to show themselves to them. However, to her shock, she did not hear any footsteps or whispers. The intruders were growling and snarling like wild animals and Yuna felt a chill run down her spine.
Realizing where Yuna's thoughts were going, Ezekiel pulled her close. He did not speak a word lest he alert the intruders. But it did not stop him from using his powers either.
'Yuna.' His gentle voice echoed in her mind and Yuna looked around in confusion, unable to comprehend what was happening. 'Calm down, Yuna. It is me.'
