I watched the flames as they burned. They didn’t move from the spot they were in. Just burned there, in that one place. Slowly I saw as the flames took the shape of a person. Finally, I could not only tell that it was a woman but a woman that I had met before. I smiled as the beautiful redheaded woman that I had met in Dominic’s apartment appeared.
“Hello Theia,” she said with a smile that I couldn’t help but to return. “I have been trying to get through for some time, but it appears that I was blocked.” I nodded my head in response.
“Isabella, right?” I asked, and she smiled with a nod. “Yes, I think the medicine they gave me at the Conclave was pretty strong. But I could feel you trying to get through, so I didn’t take it anymore.”
