Theia I stopped in the middle of the woods and screamed all my pain and fear. I screamed and screamed until I had no more left in me. No more fear and no more pain. All that was left was the violent need to find my daughter. “Sky?” I called, and she stood to attention. “It’s time,” she said, and I set off running. I didn’t know where I was running. Everything was on instinct. It was like the woods moved out of my way and everything seemed brighter suddenly. Then there was a singular flash of pain, but I didn’t stop. The only change that happened was that in that instant, I shed my human form and I was now on four paws running through the forest. I sniffed the air and immediately caught the scent that I hadn’t even realised that I had registered, but now I knew was the scent of my baby
