Lacy's POV
"Alpha. The prisoner... Robert... he has escaped." The guard says, out of breath, as if he had run all the way here.
"What? How useless can you people even be?" Vincent is out of his chair so fast and behind the guard. I follow behind, and I can hear footsteps behind me, which I know are Brent and Maria's.
Maria catches up with me, and there are tears in her eyes, but she blinks them away, refusing for them to fall.
"How did you lose him?" Vincent asks.
"We were taking them to work on the farms when all of a sudden we found a guard unconscious in his cell. We don't know how long the guard had been in that position. We did trace footprints to the road leading to the children's centre," the guard explains
"f**k. We can't have him harming the children." Brent comments.
