Nara's POV
Our bodies move together in harmony. Kian is staring at me as he thrusts into me, his eyes filled with yearning that's more than just joining our bodies. He pins my wrists above my head, and his pace increases. His waist moves erotically, and I follow suit, our gazes still locked.
"You're so tight,"
I can't hold back my moans of pleasure. It feels so good. We both drowned in desire and pleasure.
"Please," I can feel something build up in my lower regions, something very intense, and I match his pace, going after it.
"Kian, more," I moan, literally tears streaming down my face.
"Oh baby, you love my c**k," he husks and pounds into me, hitting my sweet spot. My face is warm with embarrassment.
"Alpha!" I cry and call out his name over and over. It is so good.
"You're so f*****g sweet," he says, kissing me. The sound of our lovemaking echoes through the garage walls. I should be worried about how loud I am being as Kian f***s me, but I don't care.
I'm so desperate for a release, and I chase it. He picks up speed, more erratic and wild.
"Please, yes, yes!"
"You want to come for me, butterfly?"
I'm about to. "Yes, please,"
My o****m takes me by surprise, and I cry out his name again and again. My body is shaking, my mind is blank, and I can only hold on to him. Let myself experience all the emotions I feel right now.
Kian is thrusting in and out, like a man possessed. Calling me sweet butterfly, I don't think I can take it anymore. I bite his collarbone, hard. The smell of blood fills my mouth.
He suddenly stills and cries out my name, "f**k, Nara,"
He is pulsing inside me as his warm seed fills me. His body is trembling, and I stay beneath him for a moment before he rolls off me. That was so intense. His lips find me for one deep kiss before his eyes close, and he passes out. I can't help the smile on my face. That was awesome. I have a mate, and we mated!
I look at him and caress his face with my fingers. I'm mated to Kian Karson, and my life will change for the better, finally. I am Luna of the Lake Moon Pack!
'Nara,' my wolf calls, her voice worried.
'What is it?'
'Kian didn't mark us,' she reminds me, and I feel like a bucket of cold water has been dumped on me, and my tummy feels queasy.
'We were both carried away, and he probably just forgot. He'll do it, don't worry,' my voice trembles. I'm worried, but I convince myself he just forgot. When morning comes, we'll talk, and then he'll mark me.
The following morning, Kian wakes up before me, looking sexy as hell while I'm probably a mess. His thumb is trailing my face, leaving a burning feeling in its wake.
"You're awake," his voice is deep and husky. Memories of last time flash in my head, and I feel embarrassed.
Kian stands and begins getting dressed. I do too. He looks at me sternly once he finishes getting ready. He's wearing a white button-up shirt with missing buttons and black pants. He looks effortly gorgeous, like he's in a magazine photoshoot.
My heart is racing, and I can feel tears gathering in my eyes. Why is he being cold to me? I fidget with my fingers as I wait for him to speak, biting my thumbnail, a habit of mine when I'm nervous.
"Stop that," he whispers. He always hated it when I bit my nails. I oblige and force my hands to my sides, but they can't stay still.
"I'm anxious," I confess finally. "Say something,"
His jaw tightens, and fist clench, "What happened last night was a mistake, Nara."
My heart drops to the floor.
"No, it wasn't. Y- you came to me. To mate because we are mates," I'm trembling badly.
"I was drunk and horny. Your scent was all over the house, driving me bonkers. Of course, I'd go after you. You should have sent me away," he booms, angry with me. This couldn't be happening.
"Are you blaming me?"
"I should have stayed away," he says through clenched teeth. "I knew better."
"You're hurting me, Kian,"
"It's Alpha to you," he growls, and I flinch. "You just shifted into your wolf, and if I reject you now, she might leave, so I won't."
There was no flicker of emotion in his voice or on his face. Long gone is a man who was making love to me so tenderly, and standing there is a cold Alpha.
"However, in three months, I'll reject you, and you will accept it without a fuss."
Kian doesn't look at me as he reaches the exit, but stops, "Three months," he repeats quietly, almost like he's reminding himself.
"No one should know we are mates." Those are his parting words, and I fall on my knees and sob. Kian doesn't want me. My own mate wants to reject me.
I wipe my face before anyone can see the tears. I refuse to let them watch me fall apart. They already think I am weak enough.
In the early afternoon, I felt excruciating pain in my chest, as if someone was stabbing me. My wolf told me we felt it because Kian was making out with another woman.
I finish serving dinner, avoiding looking in Kian's direction. Trisha is sitting on his lap, smiling like a Cheshire Cat but Kian isn't reacting to her.
I'm about to slip out of the room when Doty, one of Kian's closest friends and a top warrior, calls my name. I freeze in my tracks.
"Nara, have you eaten?" she asks. Doty is tall and lean, with short raven hair and catlike, stormy, sexy eyes. She is truly the epitome of a hot girl. Every male wants her, but she has eyes only for Davon, the pack's gamma. Doty is often nice to me and waves when we cross paths.
"Want to join us for dinner?" she asks when I don't answer her. I dare to glance back at their table, high-ranking members of the pack, newly sworn in, including the Alpha, beta, gamma, and top warriors, and Lang and Trisha, who are rankless but are there.
"No," I say and turn to leave. I can feel Kian's gaze boring through my back. All I can think of is, who was he making out with earlier today? Trisha?
