  Nara   Kian looked shocked, even as he held me, his body trembling. He pulled me close and hugged me in relief.   "Nara," he whispered. His friends behind him looked scared as well, their faces pale. I pushed him off me and ran a hand through my hair, feeling a bead of sweat trickle down my temple.   "Let's go now," he says in his authoritative tone, but I don't flinch. His alpha aura doesn't have any effect on me. I sit on a boulder, catching my breath.   Kian gets down on one knee, and our faces are close. He firmly holds my chin, forcing me to look at him.
