I stir awake to a voice shouting. I'm in the alpha bedroom once again.
"Pregnant! Kian, are you crazy?!" Beta Max exclaims, his voice coming from the salon. "The commission won't like this at all."
"Wow, my guy, congratulations. You're going to be a father," Davon beams, sounding optimistic, but the two other guys snarl at him.
"Sweetie, it is good news, but remember, he is about to get engaged soon," Doty reminds him. I carefully sit up in bed, holding my head in slight pain.
"They mentioned killing Nara in the meeting," says another manly voice I don't recognize. The word kill replays in my head, and my heart starts to beat frantically. I need to leave.
