Sofia Vez ‘It will be over soon. Just trust yourself’ The woman seemingly in her late thirties is trying to soothe her daughter for her first shift. The girl is stressed and nervous but still does it, trusting her mother. A smile grazed my lips as she succeeded in her first shift and wiggled around her mother, wagging her tail in excitement whilst the mother celebrated in joy. As beautiful as it looks, I can’t help but be reminded of the sad fact of how terrible it was for my first shift. ‘You are not to shift ever again.
