“Damn it,” she muttered. Rohesia made an overt effort to not look down as she climbed into the window frame and leapt across. Her arms stretched out ahead of her, reaching for something to pull her free of gravity’s hold, and her paws found the ledge. She growled, hanging perilously over a leg-breaking drop, and allowed herself only a moment to marvel that she had made the leap before climbing up. Heaving, she hurried along the ledge with her body resting against the small incline of the ruined rooftop. She loaded another arrow as she turned the corner. She recognised the steel-masked marauder waiting for her around the corner. The Tseontaeg swung for Rohesia’s head and she reeled away, stumbling back along the ledge. He kept up his assault, following her around the corner and swinging.
