I watched Elias’ car pull out from the window in his office.
It was ironic how I wanted space from him and I’d ended up in his office. I didn’t even realize where I was going until I stopped in front of the office doors.
I sat in his chair, my legs pulled up to my chest as I stared out the window, watching his car drive out.
A part of me wished I could just reach out to him through my mind; wished I could tell him how much I needed him next to me, but I couldn’t. We weren’t mated, and if that letter contained what I thought it did, we probably never would be.
