We checked out a couple of other places: a school, a supermarket and the town. Each time we arrived at a new place, the people would bow like I was their Luna and they’d known me for years. It was beautiful, but it also made me a bit uncomfortable. I felt like a fraud, like I’d lied to them. Even though Elias and I were trying now, it still felt like I was deceiving them. “Are you hungry because I am?” Erina asked sometime around three. “I know the perfect place to get pasta.” My stomach took that as a cue to grumble. “That sounds like a good idea.” We only had one more place to go. It was an orphanage, for children whose parents died in battle or at the hands of rogues. We had to ensure that they had everything they needed. The atmosphere in the building was nothing like I expected.
