The people stared as we drove past. They didn’t even try to hide the fact that they were. I didn’t want to step out of the car at all, and I honestly wouldn’t have if it weren’t for Carlos practically dragging me out of the car. “Carlos,” I hissed as we walked through the throngs of soldiers. “I want to go back to the car.” “No,” he cut me off without even glancing my way. “All we have to do is speak to the guards and then we’ll be on our way.” “We’ve been walking around for five minutes.” He ignored me and kept walking. I murmured a few curses under my breath but kept moving. We walked through the sea of people, stopping in front of a small building that guards walked in and out of.
